I like out of the box thinking as well and also came up with something like this, only for defense instead of offense, to keep salary low and switch players defensively. Of course the downside is slower training, harder to find players to buy to complement your team, but if you truly believe in your idea and you've thought it out well, and you actually enjoy experimenting, you should do it of course. There's very few managers that have actually tried stuff like this thoroughly I think, so most people that advice not to do it probably don't have real experience with it. I'm not saying I have, but you play the game for fun and if this is how you get more fun, why not?

But yeah, disclaimer is that it takes a lot of time and if it doesn't pan out you could have "wasted" that time. If you enjoyed doing it, you probably learn a lot from it too so don't be too hesitant to try :)

This was more my point, Defense, I think if you could stifle the opposing team with your D and had fairly balanced Offense with a spike in different players I think it would be very interesting.

I think its very doable in DV. But the roster that gets you to D4 wont be the one that makes the playoffs there so expect high turnover.

RnG with a C that has 9 JS 9 JR, He'll probably lead your league in 3s as long as your team can get him the ball. then a 3-2 might slow him down when the SF starts covering him but then next game you switch to Push and go inside. You better have 2 guys on your team with 7+ ID or you'll get plowed over.

A SF with range also gets an advantage over most PF that play there out of position. he should have R near your PF and C or you'll lose out on a bunch of rebounds

PG and SG with high driving and IS do really well in Low Post vs guards with low ID

My advice is build your team on paper. How much will your starting 5 make, how much for some subs and trainees. then a list of the realistic skill sets you want at each position on offense then on defense. Then start pairing up offense and defense sets from your list and start shopping. As you shop you can adjust 'realistic skill sets' to get the best the market is offering. It does take patience. In DV you can use old guys because it should be short term. It might take 8 weeks to get most of the pieces together but if your stamina, handling, passing everywhere are 4+ the game engine will find the mismatches you build.
