We lost to Bosna i Hercegovina 78-39(45236) in another game that we didn't figure to be competitive in. Dai Nozawa was our only player to get to double-digit points with 10, but he also grabbed 25 rebounds. We will next face Argentina who isn't as good as our last two opponents, but still has better big depth than us. Our final two games are very winnable against Ireland and Azərbaycan.

It has been a rough couple weeks, and season so far with only one win, but I want to stress that the future looks bright with the classes in the pipeline!

Not only an unexpected win, but an unexpected rout! We downed Argentine 100-67(45279). Five players scored in double-figures, and Dai Nozawa had yet another double-double. The win makes us 2-2 in the Consolation and 3-4 overall for the season.

We will next face Ireland.

And a rusty spoon! But for real, their tactics surprised me because the differences in our team quality was not enough to run that. As Obi-Wan would say, “A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.”

We got Crunched by Ireland and fell 69-52(45338). We played Normal but did not expect the CT from them. Dai Nozawa scored 20 points for us. We will wrap up the consolation with Azərbaycan, and spoiler for those not familiar, we will CT them since it is the final match.

Looking ahead, following the Azərbaycan game I will most likely drop the 21 y/o players and use only U20 players for the remaining scrimmages of the season.

Thank you to everyone that has trained players to this point, and I'm looking forward to the next two seasons as our players have been trained really well.

It was a nice win over Azərbaycan(45381) to close out the Consolation Tournament for us. Ebisawa and Nozawa both had double-doubles in the 92-52 rout.

I want to thank all of the managers for this year's team. I know what it takes to train a player for a few seasons to put them in a position like this. Unfortunately, we just didn't have the horses to have a tremendous season to follow the successful run in Asias. To future U21 players and managers that will be making the Nippon team, keep up your training because the next couple classes could be very special.

I will be dropping the 21-year-old players this week to scout where players are for next season and will compete in scrimmages using only U20 players. Thank you, everyone, for your support last season and this season. I am looking forward to seeing continued success for Nippon.

Our rank has jumped back into the top-30 as we are now 29 with 240.9 ranking points. I have dropped all of the 21-year-olds, and again thank their managers for their efforts. We will have a U20 team for scrimmages the rest of the season, beginning with U.A.E. For anyone training a player in hopes of making the team next season, know that the 12 on the team now are not the guaranteed team going forward. Still plenty of chances to move onto the team.

Go Nippon.
