So does anyone have tips for the first round of the season. I started this thing in III.6 where you select the game with the biggest upset, the game with the biggest margin, and the game with the smallest margin.

Tonight's schedule is as follows:

Eggplantpopolopolous v BroomeTime
Glenelg Tigers v peaceNroll
South Victoria Menstrals v hopelessly addicted
Saintstars v Melbourne Redbacks
SJOD v Lara Giants
Drunken All-Stars v Chumunga
Jerries v Nevada Saucers
Mangoloids v South Brisbane Vultures

Here's my predictions:

Upset of the Round:
I can't pick one to start things off as in reality there's not much difference in the rankings, so i'll back my own team against the higher ranked Saintstars by under 10pts

Blow out of the Round:
SBV - Mangoloids - Tough start for Mangoloids coming up against the team i think is the favourite this season. 20+ pt margin i reckon

Closest Game of the Round:
For mine it could be Broometime and Eggplantpopolololopopopolous
Both these teams are ranked rather low but both are very competitive. I'm expect a close one with BT taking it by under 5 points.

Of course the toughest part with all this is not knowing what strategies people are going to use.

Looks like we've got a bot for this season already as Lara Giants appears to be inactive, as the team also was near the end of last season.

Hmm no? He's been active recently, maybe only on the verge of rebuilding his team!

hopefully that is the case. Though he's taking his time as his team had walkovers for the last 4 games of last season and now the first week of this season. I hope he's active, but he could also at least field some teams each week, however he may be forfeiting to keep the margin lower than what it might otherwise be.

Roswell I cant pretend to say that I understand your posts and probably more likely than not I wont take the time to decipher them, however I do have enormous respect for the depth and balance of your roster.

Hiding behind those "bro words" is a very capable Manager who I might regret upsetting.

Got to say that there are some scary good teams in this league

Glenelg Tigers & Melbourne Redbacks look toughest on the Big 8 side and DAS, SBV (if there finances hold up), NS and Lara Giants (if he takes an interest in the game and spends his millions) all look very capable.

Things were definately not so tough in div 2 a couple of seasons ago

Some damn good teams I havent mentioned.

Cant remember there being so many 100K plus players in a div 2 league at the start of a season
