I have seen how Wolph has used the blank lineups sometimes and they have been really good. However while they are sometimes good I still think that sometimes we need to manually set the lineups.

Examples
We are playing a team with a brilliant PG and our best defender is out SG. Then we will want to set a lineup where our SG swaps with our PG on defence.
We are playing a team with one weak player. We may want to play patient and put or main scoring threat in the position opposite him so he takes the majority of the shots.
We are playing a team with weak bigs. We may want to really pound the ball inside. So we could run a 2 x PG, 1 x PF and 2 x C lineup.

The blank lineup is supposed to be good if you are running just a very standard lineup probably it is better although there are some strange subs, but smart tactics are still better.

Obviously this is only for NT & B3 games, league and cup games would be a disaster as your training minutes and GS will be wrecked.

In the NT situation most teams are using blank now, so we will see lots of subbing everywhere and can't predict weak player.

I don't know about this....I have been asking around to other NT managers and they say that they set their own line up....Reason 1 was that it(blank line up) overlooks passing and OD at the SF spot and tends to want the REB/ID there. For this reason alone I will be setting my own line up. Reason 2 is what you stated above...GS....and that is a big reason to not let an AI select my line up.

I R BACK!!!

I plan on adding Yuhei Suenami to my roster, and whilst he's too old to train, I can at least ensure that his GS is on spot. Should I get him...

If you want him he's yours and would love having someone watch his GS. He will play mainly backup and this may be his last season.

Oh dear god. I awoke this morning to see I didn't have the top bid on him, and hit 'bid' before really looking at what I was doing.
Suffice to say that I doubt anyone will outbid me, and I am way, way, WAY overpaying.

Faaaark... never bid on the TL whilst sleepy!

Ah that explains it. I didn't want to be rude to you but I thought you must have been hiting the Sake to pay that much for him. I was interested in him, thought at his age I could get him for half that much, guess I was wrong there!

Yeah... not good. I think someone was pulling a fast one with a money-transfer... but I ... ummm... screwed that up. I guess they're laughing.

He'll help, and he is a very good fit for my team.
Oh well... only cash, right?
Agh.
