The real question is: how does the minute breakdown between each type of game impact how fast experience increases?

Agreed. It would appear that minutes played may be weighted differently depending on the type of game. Which while it makes sense, does throw a wrench into things. I'm also partial to what GM-somdetsfinest said about it perhaps not being linear. Skills aren't linear, right? Training times slow down depending on a number of factors. Perhaps so does Experience.

i think the info missing and whats most important is what happened in those mins and how involved the player was.
i believe i read somewhere a bb or gm saying that players gain more exp when faced with tougher situations , not 100% though.

the play off games missed, in the statement of the BB - so you are basically right, but maybe the PO matches give more XP then a cup match or even the same like a league match

Well, that certainly blows Yellow Cake's analysis out of the water. Maybe it's not linear. It could be 700 minutes from atrocious to pitiful and then go up from there.

I think you are correct about it not being linear.

My player just popped to inept from awful and it took a total of about 849 minutes( I didn't count the offseason scrimmage minutes).
I love this game..Learn something new every day...Thanks
PS.. I wonder if it will take close to 1000 to pop to mediocre? Lets see.
