My only addition is that while I see the logic the other posters have used, I'd also consider the 5/3 18 year olds as being worthwhile - those are the type of guys you can build that are your stars in V and IV, solid starters in III and can play supporting roles in II.

Yep if you lucky and 3 potencial player caps at the top end of his cap range. I have perenial allstar capped at the start of his range so its similar as star at end of range and he had 4th league mvp and this season he got unanimous division 3 mvp.

(http://www.buzzerbeater.com/player/25128447/overview.aspx) - statistics just incredible(25points epr game 63 % accuracy). He averaged 51 eff in 48 mins, sick right?:D i had also guzejevas whos 3rd in voting being 45 eff and gvaizdauskas whos 6th in voting 35eff. and i bet the next season he wont be the worst player in div 2 atleast:D tbh i think hell be amongs the best sfs in the league. Basicly for star player you can make solid starter at div 2.

I would choose 1 or 3 and if you get both, train in tandem.
Either choice you can develop into long term asset for your team.

potential and length are important.
skillwise there is not much to say. I have had 5,4 with 40 sp and 5,4 with 55.

Only in the dark, we succeed!

2) you generally get more skills in SF A+, than in C A+.
then you could train him with your other guards..
