I think we will have to wait until the economic update to really know. At the moment, I am not really sure what sort of roster salary is sustainable in Div III

Ok, Finance update is out. Looks like ~$200K roster is the breakeven point.
Anything beyond that, will be heavily dependant on Cup income to sustain.
On that note, looks like I can afford another decent starter in my roster in my attempt to last in the Cup as long as I can afford to

At the same time, looks like my pre-determined rival, Ultramarinos Resconorio (grullo's team) is taking the path to depend heavily on Cup income to sustain.
Just my luck to be randomly assigned your team which has the highest roster salary as my rival!

Read the book Moneyball by Michael Lewis (fantastic book about putting value on stuff, and finding value that you do not have to pay overprice for) - it is about The Oakland Athletics, and how they, by ruthlessly trading for players which noone else believes in because of for instance apperance and just looking at statistics - manage to create a winning baseball team for 1/3 of the price of for instance New York Yankees. Billy Beane is their general manager - and allthough he should not get all credit for what the A's have done, he certainly changed how quite a few in baseball view players and their value. Just love this book. Very clever in my view.
