So, from the guide:

Prices are updated at midnight server time (EST) on the following schedule: - At the beginning of the regular season (Saturday of the first gameday) - Before the 8th game of the regular season (at the beginning of inter-conference play) - Before the 16th game of the regular season (at the end of inter-conference play)

I was somewhat worried about when I needed to update my ticket prices if I promote as I expect to, but it seems I can just update them right before the season starts. I am unsure of the price level I should set, though. If I promote by winning my league, what is a good indicator to set my initial arena prices at? Will my tickets sell at the rate of the winningest teams of the division I just promoted to for the first half of the season or so?

I would also like to maximize ticket revenue through the playoffs if possible.

Is there a playoff boost in attendance for home games? I anticipate having HCA throughout the playoffs. If there is a boost, is a higher price for the 3 or 4 extra home games in the playoffs worth losing some money due to not filling my arena for my last 3 regular season games?

I'd increase prices by around 30-35% for the first half, and anticipate a 10-15% price drop after the all star break. You can raise the prices before the playoffs a bit yes. Keep in mind these are just rough numbers as a guideline amd depend on your arena and how well you've set your proces currently.

Well my arena will be small, probably about 5300-5400 or so. My prices right now are all fairly close to the point at which attendance is maximized. Would about 30% still apply? Looking around at D.IV leagues, it seems that would put me about on par attendance wise for 1- and 2- seed teams with similarly sized arenas.

Yeah it probably does, but maybe one of your countrymen could confirm it since my experience is different, since the Netherlands is a smaller country with fewer divisions. From what I've seen however, is that newly promoted teams usually have attendance income just below the top teams.

I was asking a similar question recently, regarding my own potential promotion.
I won Div V outright, but then I bot promoted from Div IV to III, so I didn't see the attendance boost.
Thus, I was curious about how to set my prices if and when I promote to DII.

Anyhow, I can't find the response I got, but it was along these lines.
Find the top team in the league you are promoting to, and model your prices after them (modifying for number of seats), and then tack on an extra 10-15% in prices. All other things equal, your attendance should perform better than the top team in that league by about 10-15% until your promotion bonus ends.

The bonus works just for the case of a championship. If you are promoted as a champion (winning PO) you get the boost on the attendance. If you got promoted as a replacement for a Botteam the bonus is very small, basically it looks like you don´t have one.

So raising prices works just as champion ... If this was your question.
