I am in first place in my division (20-1) and I am playing the 7th place team in 36 hours.
I know I could make it to the semis, but I don't know if I can beat the 2nd place team. Should
I not worry about this possible game because I would get promoted for regular season record?

Why wouldn't you still try and win every game? Not sure I understand the logic behind the question here.

Ah, sorry, I understand your question now.
The only guarantee you have to promote is winning your league. 21-1 in US D5 is often not good enough.
