Ok, so I just lost my star player because of a 2 week injury, and now I'm in a tight spot for the playoffs. I'm currently placed 2nd in my conference, tied in record but behind in point differential. The number 1 in my conference is also the favorite to win the finals.

I play against him in the last game of the season, which will decide who of us will get HCA in the playoffs. It's an away, TV and rival game for me, and I'm not sure what effort to use. I've build up very high ENT and he probably doesn't have high ENT, and the 4th seed is a lot weaker than the 3rd, so I can TIE in the 1st round if I get the 1 seed.

So, should I CT my last regular season game and take the 1 seed, TIE in the 1st round and face my rival with HCA but lower ENT, or should I TIE now and in the 1st round vs the 3rd seed, taking a risk there but having the highest possible ENT against my rival in the conference finals (without HCA)?

I'd go "normal" enthusiasm in the last game, then Playoff Normal in your first round. No reason to wreck your enthusiasm if you think his is low.

IMO, this is what I would do, if his Enth is low he will not want to burn much more so he doesn't get smashed in the first final himself, also if you have high Enth it will probably act more like CT in a Norm setting anyways.

Make sure you still scout your tactics and make sure you give your guys a good chance this way first.
