So, I've got this guy that I've been training for a couple of seasons.
Weekly salary: $ 9 606
Age: 21
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Jump Shot: proficient | Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: strong | Handling: proficient
Driving: prominent | Passing: strong
Inside Shot: proficient | Inside Def.: prominent
Rebounding: proficient | Shot Blocking: respectable
Nothing incredible, I know, but considering I drafted him at 19, I'm pretty satisfied with his progress. Now, this guy's gonna be a PF (or an extremely LI-oriented SF, if you will, but that's basically a PF too :P)
The thing is, looking at how balanced his stats are, a friend suggested that I should consider selling him. I'm ambivalent. Last season and like 5 pops ago, the game projected him to sell as high as 600k, but I've always pictured him as a starter-in-the-making for my team. He will probably be ready* at the end of this season or early in the next and it's not like I'm shooting for the playoffs or anything this year. What do you guys think? Should I keep him and reap the benefits of having a home grown key player, or could I perhaps fetch whatever sum he commands and use that to build up my squad?
edit: *I meant he'll be ready to start some games at that point, the plan is to continue training him until he's capped basically
