I'm about to promote and get a big bonus. Is it better to spend a good chunk for one expansion or do as little as possible each time to get more profit from the expansion process? For example, I could do expansions each week that will be finished just before my next home game, thus getting profit from most of my expansions right away.

I don't think there is one answer for this that is always right because each situation is different. Generally it's best to build as many seats as you can as soon as you can, but there are less common scenarios where it's worth splitting up the work to end before home games.

What you don't wanna do, and I know you aren't asking about this but I've seen people advocate this before, is save up money so that you can build all you seats at once. In that case it's almost always better to do it in smaller chunks as you get the money.

Edit: it's important to keep in mind if you do decide to split up the work that construction often takes longer than it says it will.

My situation is I'll have about 1 million bucks that I'll have to spend on arena. Should I put a big chunk down all at once or use more like 150-200 thousand each build?

Up to you, but don't count on expansions being done just before that home game. Delays often go until the day after the home game like someone in some control room is laughing at us squirm.

If you're selling out one or more sections then small ones make sense to capitalize on each and every extra seat. Otherwise, just build a lot and get it over with.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Either method is fine as long as with the build small method you build as close to the 6-7 day range as possible. You can build your arena 1 seat at a time and it takes 6 days each time... not very effective. But finding a good combination that takes 6 to 7 days and repeating it over several builds can be very effective. It will be a lot better for gauging how many seats of each section you really need as well or if you need to adjust those prices or not for maximum profits.

Personally I do the small build method until I stop selling out my Lower Tier seats then sit on the money I'm making,

Don't do big chunks of upgrades. It will last forever and you won't get any extra money until it finishes.

Upgrade so that it takes around 1 week to complete. It's faster and you hopefully get extra money from home games.

Build as soon as you get the money all the seats you want.

Every build takes longer than expected. And building at once will cost probably one home game.
Building every week, will cost more home games. Because you always get delays.

Only in the dark, we succeed!

Is 1200 bleachers, 800 lower tier a good goal? What about courtside and lux boxes?
