Well...with Supes in hybernation and kotets and myself leaving the game...maybe he knows that if he buys some players now, he has a chance at the 5th spot.

Superfly Guy is 100% right. Elandstraat 263 spent more than $2,000,000 on players. For that much they could have gotten a 100k SG, 2 x 200k big man and a good PG. Instead they got a 20k SG for 900k (I went through his game history, never been trained inside) a 40k PF for 600k (I went through his history never been trained outside although there was half a season at SF) and a 45k C for 500k.

If Superfly Guy had spent that money Wolph would be looking a something like a 30k PG, a 100k SG, a 30k SF and 2 x 200k big men. Then he would have a resal match on his hands. All this means is that Elandstraat 263 has picked up some reasonable players and will be attempting to steal a win if Wolph sends in the scrubs. Expect a CT as well but his starters should win easily.

I think some people like playing the stock market game like you, no offence but you know what I mean, and some like playing the basketball game. I love training, scouting opponents, watching my players evolve and seeing them slowly develop. I hate that you scout a team on Saturday and by the time you play them on Thursday they are a completly different team. It does happen a little in the NBA Ramon Sessions, Ellis-Bogut trade, injuries but not like this. I have 0 interest in looking at the TL for hours to find stocks to buy low and sell high. Probably 263 feels the same and just wants to play. That said, when I buy I player I put a lot of thought into it and make sure they are a good fit for my other players and my likely strategies and opponents.

So... just let me understand: you're down on the guy for making purchases to try and finish a bit higher, because it might impact you?

I think the real answer is he is probably just a very casual player. If he had started in 2/1 he would have been consistently smashed by 50 points every game but the top 4-5 teams and may well have quit. Instead he was in 2/2 where he got to dominate bots, make a fortune, clean up each week with good income and no costs, get his $1 million promotion bonus and now one day sees, "hey I am losing, I thought my roster was good". So he goes out and buys the first few half decent players he can find and just buys them. he doesn't need to beat you, or platoon, or yoks or me. He just needs to get 1 PD above Werewold and he survives another season. Seems quite achievable. If anyone should be worried it is Ken because he is the one person really affected by this.

After all didn't sgt.sagara already tell us all that he is winning the championship this season?
