Hello! I am playing the finale agaist (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/114307/overview.aspx) . He is always playing MOTION, with his best players outside and a 2-3 zone. His defensive ratings are a little bit higher in inner defence, while his better players are outside. What should I play in offense and defense? Is it better to play PTB or maybe look inside since I have superior inner players? Please advise! My team is (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/114679/overview.aspx)

play 3-2 defense and a balanced offense. That should work for you.

Depends on your team, but when in doubt, go with base offense.

if you have the best team and/or home court, play fast. If you have an inferior team, play slow.
Are your outside players too bad? Because a 2-3 zone is like a gift in such a game...

my best outside player is out injured, but I do not think they are too bad..I have a very balanced squad but my inner players are still much better..I would not worry about the result if my best outside player would play, since he would be able to stop his two outside shooters..What do you think about defense 1-3-1? I heard he would be a good option also..

i don't agree with that.

The fast paced tactic have their different strength and weaknesses, even with the same main focus. So you should take the one which fits best for the team, while usually the slow tactic makes troble when you are inferior because you get especially in the beginning not the looks your team is searching for which results in many bad shots.

I'd rather go for 3-2.
1-3-1 it's more risky, because is more focused on outside defense. 3-2 is more balanced and with good inside players you may even outrebond the other team despite the focus. It helps if you hace at least one guard with nice rebound... but that's a huge bonus.

thanks..i won the game quite nicely with 1-3-1..the rebounding was quite equal, but I totally stopped their outside shooters (6/28 for 3pts). I played with base offense and had 9/20 for 3pts. Now I have to decide what tactic should I deploy for the 2nd game.Maybe the same or Motion..I believe I will stick with the 1-3-1 defense..What do you think?
