Hello. I`ve got a problem with my attendance. Last year I built a huge arena with 12.5K seats during my season in Div. 2, but unfortunately I relegated to Div. 3. This year my team performs well (easy 3 wins), and I have dropped the ticket prices drastically, but in spite of these facts I hardly fill about 2/3 of the capacity, attracting less than half of the expensive seats. I suspect that due to my last season relegation I have got a consistent problem with attendance this season and no matter what are the ticket prices, there will never be a full arena.

I have 3 questions:

1) Is there a limit of attendance rate after a relegation, no matter what the prices are?
2) Is there a limit of possible attenders in Div. 3 in each one of the categories (besides known 500 close to the court and 50 VIP)
3) Is there other problem that may affect on such a low attendance rate, while my team performs so well?

I am having the same problem. I stayed in the save league and even dropped my prices a bit this season. only got 65% seats occupied at my home game. On the fan survey, my team is 5 star satisfied with my last season's effort ( loss in the finals 1st season). i will see what happens 2day in my 2nd home game.

Also have a question - Last season, there was a point in which i was selling out bleachers and 96% of lower tier. Then my team started getting better as a team but attendance starting going down - without changing prices.

Only change i remember from that period was selling 3 fringe players (2 local). Is that perhaps the reason?

Until now i can't seem to figure it out. Appreciate any ideas.

Back in season 4, my last full season before I quit, I had the same problem. What others said back then was that the level of your competition effects your attendance. I had finished up a stretch where I had demolished the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams, and had only bottom feeders to go before the playoffs began. So my attendance suffered until the playoffs, when I sold out all the games.

Once again, this SHOULD be in discussed in either the Economy or Arena sections of the manual, but it is not.

You are doing a bit worse than your toughest rival (3-0) in Big 8, but the difference is not huge. You are slightly behind in courtside seats and clearly behind in the cheapest seats (but you do charge $1 more). Basically, you should concentrate on how you compare against the teams in your own league.
