Press Announcements

First competitive game - First victory

Against weak opposition, our small group of players played seriously and came back home with the win. Any other result would have been unacceptable, but with our backcourt begin at best respectable, a serious win is the minimum I wanted. Our bigs delivered a strong performance, kudos to their managers for their great GS.

There has been some talks on the forum about the selection (or rather non-selection) of certain players after my "GS warning" last week. Remember that respectable is not good enough for the NT, and certainly not good enough to warrant a spot on the team if a player skills are not top notch.

I will select players that consistently and regularly have strong or better GS, like I will accept a few mishaps from time to time. I too have a team, and I too know how difficult it is sometime to manage minutes. I stand by my choices for the first game, and the results were as expected. Next game lineup will be selected after GS update, and some new players might make the team if I believe they will regularly bring something to the team.

Our guards have a huge potential, even better than our bigs. We will win easy games with only our bigs, but we need our guards at a higher level than that to
reach the next level. So to all the owners of outside-oriented players, the ball is in your court, make us proud!
