Shannon and Cahill called up ahead of Norway clash

Corey Shannon and Thomas Cahill have been added to the Irish squad as the team continues its training ahead of their first European qualification match in Norway.

"They're both young lads," said the coach. "Certainly they'll hope to stick around for a while and I'm sure they're anxious to prove their quality on the court."

The Green Army has been preparing for the match by competing in the local sport, cross-country skiing.

"It's intense, some of the taller players have been having problems staying on their skiis." said Alex Ewing. "I saw Christopher O'Connaire fall into a fjord, not sure any of the boys have seen him since."
