A 6th Cowboys in NT

After Gilmont, Thys, Vercaigne, Freire and Backaert, the Cowboys have in their roster a 6th NT player: Franck Canipel. On 18 Februari, Franck leaded the Belgium National Team in a scrimmage against England. His mentor, Kobus Vercaigne, was in the spectators to watch the first apparence of his young teammate. he tells us his advise about the Franck's performance:

For a first time, he performed well. he was aggressive offensively without trying impossible things but just what he can do. He really played for his teammates and not to be the star of the game. But it was just one game and he will have to make other goog games like that to become a regular NT starter.

His stats confirms what Kobus said: 14 points (5/9), 8 assists, 1 steals, 0 turnovers). Franck will have the opportunity to confirm his performance next Monday for the 3rd scrimmage against England.
