Hall of Fame Inductee

Earlier this week the Pancakes inducted team captain, all round good guy and Yoyo enthusiast Jack Long as the first member of the teams Hall of Fame.

The 23yo Jack Long's induction may seem premature but he has been the corner stone of the franchise since its inaugural season. A champion childhood trampolinist the 6'1 PG has led the team in scoring every season since his debut as a 19yo back in the Pancakes first game. He has been a regular All star Game Starter, a National Team Representative and has a league MVP trophy to his name. The man who once ate 72 bananas in a single sitting has been one of the premier guards in the competition and has been the key figure in the Pancakes development over the seasons. A special mention to Jacks mother Judy Long who has been making Blueberry Muffins for the Pancakes canteen for many seasons despite having to care for Jacks younger brother Matthew Long who has a severe case of Tourettophrenia a rare mix of Tourette's and Schizophrenia.

A great choice buy the Pancakes officials. Billy Hoyles Boys will always be indebted to Jack after he saved childhood friend and son of a fish and chip shop owner Odisseas Massios from certain death when he pulled him from the jaws of a shark when they were just 15 years old.

Massios still bares scares from the horrific attack but said "if Jack hadn't of bitten that shark on the dorsal fin and then poked it in the eyes before dragging me to safety i don't know if i's still be here today." further to that he added "every morning i wake up and see that scar in the mirror it reminds me of just how great a guy Jack Long is, he is everything that every young kid in this world should grow up dreaming to be"
