I wanted to give my first press statement after I was giving the trust and being elected again by the Lebanese community.

First, the current state of the players that could and would qualify to play for the Lebanese NT is very poor. We have maybe a handful decent player, and the rest is plain rubbish, but I already knew/expected this before I took up the job. I hope that some off the active members, myself included can train some players capable of making an impact for the NT and I do hope that as many coaches that have decent Lebanese players right now are willing to train them to make them great players.

I have been looking at our opponents for this qualifying round and I have to say that right now, I would be very surprised if we get more than 1 win out of this competition. This is solely based on total salary for single players and for the whole squad.

We have 2 good point guards and one decent center and that’s it.

I will have to select the best we have for now and I hope to buy some decent players in the future and train them to the level they can play in the NT. If there is anyone else out there that would like to take a NT capable trainee on board, I would like to receive a pm and I will try and get some of these players (that are badly trained or receive hardly any training) on teams that are really willing to train these players. Be aware that you might overpay in the beginning but on the long run with the extra merchandise income, it should be well worth your extra cash.

I know that we can produce good players with the small community we have. I hope I can find some help to not loose these past U21 players out of sight, but to get them continuously trained so that they soon can join the NT.

For now, like I said I will select the best players available to me, but be assured that as soon as this is possible I will add younger less good players to the NT in the hope and expectation that this small incentive will help and convince the coaches for these players to continue training these players so that we have a more bright future for the NT in the future. I understand that this measure will upset some people, especially coaches that have such players in their team.
