Or we could just make 1v1 train free throws, and everyone would be Reggie Miller from the line.

No one here seems suggesting the trend has to be eliminating FT training from the system.
Assuming you’re going to get a +1 in FT every 8-10 weeks of JS or something, no one is going to be a deadly FT shooter because of JS. We are talking about 3-4 pops, hardly you’re going to get more in a entire career (for a guard)

The problem with FT is not that, if you want to enhance the importance of FT training the easiest way would be improving the impact of FT level on player %.

A FT 1 could shoot 30% which is ridiculous, a FT 7 could shoot 60-65%. Let's say the easiest way to increase the chance of FT training would be raising the importance of FT such as giving FT 10 around 60% at the line, nothing more.

Besides that, it seems to me BBs are thinking about moving into providing secondary ways to train general skills. Stamina and Game Shape have been already affected by secondary staff, I don't see why the last skill remaining has to be left alone (ok, maybe tomorrow the update will tell us you can improve FT with an arena facility, in that case I could agree with you)

Now we just need to discover whether we're going to obtain a pop every 7 seasons or only 4
