I agree...add in non-favorable schedules where you go on 2 game road trips....your economy is sunk if you lose both games

Something like three or four seasons in a row now my first game has been a road game, so I get no gate proceeds in the first week, compounded by whatever misadventures I have suffered during the off-season. The misadventures are my own fault, and I cope with the schedule, even though I haven't played as long as you. No big deal.

Agree with Manon. All teams play under the same set of circumstances. In a given season you have the same number of economic updates and home games as any other team. It's your responsibility to plan accordingly.

I have my finances for my team mapped out for the whole season and usually a simulation through the end of the next season. I know approximately how much money I will have at any given point of time, that allows me to plan transactions and money management very well. Try it, financial management is one of the biggest keys to success in this game.

If we give more money to the team, they will not keep it for those 3 weeks without home game, they will increase their payroll and still be left with no money in the end.

True. Having more money doesn't remove the need to manage it for the dry weeks.

I understand the OP's concern, having been surprised by the dry weeks myself in my first season, but I think the answer is managing your money.

I agree with this being an issue.

Could we not have a 50% discount on salaries on the week of the Big 8 vs Great 8 week? We get no compensation for this at all.

Or, if a discount is too over the top, how about just the TV Contract for that week being given to everyone in the league? It makes sense since your league's best players are playing in the league's all-star game. And it is fair since everyone in the league will get it and it will help cushion the impact of no income for that week.
