This is just for me so everyone else don't even bother reading it. I just wanted to make my journal of my team history. It is all about me & all of my players so it will be of no interest to anyone but me.

9/10/11 (6/11/11 our first game) - 8/1/11

First ever game.

Kyoto Shogun vs. aisteru.4ever 84 - 64 (26637700)

We played patient & 2/3 zone for our first game, shows how much we have learnt.

By our second game we knew a bit more and had made our first major purchase.

Daisaku Kawaida (16975170)
Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 31 162
Age: 27
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: allstar
Daisaku Kawaida was pick 9 in the season 13 draft by Kuzu High School.

He was an 18 year old $3,000 salary player at the time but was our first good invensment.

Our other 2 trainees were an 18 year old starter potential (I learnt how important potential was later).

Jotaro Kinjo (17728125)
Small Forward
Owner: Kyoto Shogun
Weekly salary: $ 11 171
Age: 27
Height: 6'5" / 196 cm
Potential: starter

Also a 20 or 21 year old (I learnt how important age was later).

Norihisa Ushio (17728126)
Point Guard
Owner: Retired
Weekly salary: $ 5 776
Age: 25
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: perennial allstar

We ended up with an 11-11 record in our first season & made the playoffs. A solid start for the team.

But the best thing for the season was the last thing. We drafted 9th & got our 2nd choice, Noritada Konoe a low potential, low salary player but with a big heart.

Noritada Konoe (18297019)
Point Guard
Owner: Kyoto Shogun
Weekly salary: $ 36 679
Age: 26
Height: 6'0" / 183 cm
Potential: allstar

Konoe went on to become 1 of our best ever players, being a multiple time all star, getting MVP votes even in the JBBL, being an U21 all star and still being a solid rotation player on our team, sometimes starting, sometimes backing up.

13/1/2011- 16/4/2011

Drafting Konoe was the best way to start the season but we had a long way to go. Building the arena, scouting, buying staff it was all difficult to make much progress. It was also difficult at the top for our league as we were cursed to have the mighty Sharman Globetrotters drop down into our league.

I openly admired Sharman as the greatest team Nippon had ever produced but he was not kind to us. He dropped down for his own reasons & at a time when several good teams were developing in the league such as fumoffu platoon, aisteru.4ever, Shikoku Otaku, Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings & the despicable Sapporo Fighters. He just destroyed everyone, never gave a word of kindness and left having had a close to perfect season.

We hired two solid imports this season while our trainees Daisaku Kawaida, Hisanobu Mitsuharu & Noritada Konoe still made slow progress. However Hisanobu Mitsuharu ended up doing well for the team, we bought him for $100,000 & after his training sold him for $520,000 at the start of season 16 probably our best deal ever.

Lu was bought for $250,000 and sold in season 17 for $165,000.

Lu Shuanghua (4528096)
Power Forward
Weekly salary: $ 12 028
Age: 34
Height: 6'9" / 206 cm
Potential: star

Lu was 6th in MVP voting & 5th in rebounding in the league that season.

Our other import was Kazimierz Tyciec. He was 10th in the league in scoring & 8th in assists. We bought him for only $70,000 selling him later for $77,000.

Kazimierz Tyciec (6546969)
Small Forward
Weekly salary: $ 4 145
Age: 35
Height: 6'1" / 185 cm
Potential: MVP

We ended up with a 14-8 record & were knocked out of the playoffs by the filthy Sapporo Fighters.

In the draft despite picking 11th we got our first choice Yasushi Yokoyama.

Yasushi Yokoyama (19825109)
Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 27 710
Age: 25
Height: 6'4" / 193 cm
Potential: superstar

10 days after drafting him we sold him for $273,700, but he went up in value and was later sold for $1.3 million.

21/4/2011 - 23/7/2011

With 2 big sales, Hisanobu Mitsuharu for $520,000 & Yasushi Yokoyama for $274,000 we had money to burn & it was time to fnally get some high level talent. We got our first great Nippon player. Our most expensive buy had been $250,000 for Lu Shuanghua, We now spent $100,000 on trainee Masamitsu Echi, $500,000 on trainee Atsuyoshi Kyubei & $800,000 on Tsumemasa Kurogane a great big man.

Masamitsu Echi (19825153)
Shooting Guard
Owner: Retired
Weekly salary: $ 6 861
Age: 21
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: perennial allstar

Echi didn't last long at the team and was soon sold for $200,000. This was a period of great indecision with trainees as we did 1 on 1 for ages and wanted to have 6 guys training but could never settle on who.

Atsuyoshi Kyubei (18297011)
Shooting Guard
Weekly salary: $ 12 441
Age: 26
Height: 6'5" / 196 cm
Potential: perennial allstar

Kobe we really liked & he actually stayed with the club as a backup for 5 seasons & 51 games getting trained when we did 2 position training but now when we did 1 position training before we sold him in season 20 for $300,000.

Tsumemasa Kurogane (10146502)
Center
Owner: Retired
Weekly salary: $ 26 460
Age: 33
Height: 7'1" / 216 cm
Potential: star

Kurogane may not look impressive but in divsion II on a well run team with great game shape & enthusiasm he was a star. Tragically he was sold for $ 344 300 to some stupid team, the PrimeTime boyz that then fired him, why would you pay $344,000 for someone & then fire him?

We had a fantastic 16-6 record that season but the league was dominated by the cheating fumoffu platoon, the foul Sapporo Fighters & the awesome Shikoku Otaku. We couldn't do much in the National Tournament being matched up against #5 in the nation Swoosh in the round of 32.

Northern Kyushu Raman Kings & I were the 4th and 5th best teams but 4 of the 5 best teams were in the Great 8 & even the filthy Sapporo Fighters couldn't beat the cheating fumoffu platoon who won leaving the 4 best teams in all of Nippon division II stuck together in 2/1 Great 8.

Out achievements included Lu Shuanghua getting 3rd place in the MVP voting & 1st in rebounding. Our new man Tsumemasa Kurogane was 4th in scoring & 2nd in rebounding.

The draft was huge for us tis season, but in a funny way. We drafted Masateru Otake who we trained for 2 months & then sold for $400,000. But the big news was that Takayoshi Kawagichi had been drafted by the notorious Fire Country Trail Blazers & we bought him for $200,002 & he was to become a big part of our team.

Masateru Otake (21305587)
Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 10 013
Age: 24
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: allstar

Takayoshi Kawagichi (21305663)
Point Guard
Owner: Kyoto Shogun
Weekly salary: $ 101 362
Age: 24
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: superstar

S23 (7/3/13 - 9/6/13)

The season started full of promise but with a problem. After seasons of training guards it was time to move to centers. This was while Shin Shidehara (24273129) 6'2" PG U21 star & team draft pick was still being trained. So in whatever training for centers the team would have to do they would have 1 of their best players not only not helping but hurting the team by playing out of position.

We had a great draft pick Sasuke Horiuchi (28983247) but he also didn't fit with the training plans so was sold to Isehara Pistons for $ 371 500.

We then spent an incredible $3,000,000 on a player we were sure would help the team. Maybe we paid too much but what a player.

Rene Põld (12129848)
Small Forward
Weekly salary: $ 74 393
Age: 30
Height: 6'8" / 203 cm
Potential: hall of famer
Jump Shot: stupendous Jump Range: sensational
Outside Def.: tremendous Handling: stupendous
Driving: stupendous Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: legendary Inside Def.: sensational
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: atrocious
Stamina: average Free Throw: awful
Experience: proficient

11/3/13 - 26/4/13

Adding Põld to the team that went 14-8 last season would surely help right? Well the trouble was the 3 trainees were not up to JBBL standard.

Shin Shidehara (24273129)
Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 29 731
Age: 22
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: superstar

Ichiro Nishimura (25318371)
Center
Weekly salary: $ 20 541
Age: 22
Height: 6'9" / 206 cm
Potential: MVP

Eita Wakatsuki (21305793)
Power Forward
Weekly salary: $ 65 559
Age: 24
Height: 6'11" / 211 cm
Potential: MVP

Shin & Ichiro were almost guaranteed losses & Eita was way behind the standard of JBBL big men. It was even worse as this season almost everyone was playing look inside.

1st game was against Fire Country Trail Blazers with Shin Shidehara playing C, a big loss.
2nd game with Eita Wakatsuki training against Yesteam a win.
3rd game was away at Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings who put in more effort while training Eita Wakatsuki a loss.
4th game against Stunners who had a great B3 level team another loss.

Things were going very badly.

To try & save the season $990,000 was spent on top quality big man Argirios Gaitatzidis & there were a bunch of wins.

Argirios Gaitatzidis (11460783)
Power Forward
Weekly salary: $ 225 132
Age: 31
Height: 6'11" / 211 cm
Potential: hall of famer

Played 31/3/13 - 21/4/13.

But another difficulty the NT coach told us that Eita wasn't joining the NT until he improved his passing and outside defence. So things got even worse, now just 1 game a week we had Shin Shidehara a decent player at PG, for the other 2 we had a C playing PG. Many more losses while we did this painful training.

The big event was a cup game away against Kitakyushu. What a draw, we played Swoosh 2 times in a row & then Kitakyushu 2 times in a row. They had home court & played crunch time against us & took the win. Great for them, a disaster for us.

Kyoto Shogun vs. Kitakyushu 95 - 107 (58774585)

We decided why pay Gaitatzidis when we are losing anyway so he was sold for $816,600 a nearly $200,000 loss as well as $800,000 lost in salary he was a $1,000,000 disaster. We also sold Rene Põld for $2,700,000 a $300,000 loss.

Somehow despite selling the teams 2 best players we were able to refocus, training became a bit more sensible, the schedule improved and from then on we won 6 of our last 10 games and scraped into the playoffs by PD over our long time rivals and best friends Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings, by beating the National Tournament Champion Mythical Man-Month in the last game of the season.

We also picked up NT legend Hideki Ochi (11001986) a 31 year old SG/SF for $1,150,000. Overpaid again but it kept us as an all Nippon team for the last few weeks of the seasonwhile actually playing our best.
