Yes, It's true.
I just find it hard to believe this was actually the case when a team that is surely weaker on paper looking at the respective salaries, put up more or less similar ratings and had their way over our defence all game.
As you said: "in paper". Strategies are part of the game too and my friend, a high salary doesn't mean a better player. There is a way to prove it if both managers wish it: showing the rosters + tactics used + TIE vs Normal
Normal vs TIE isn't powerful enough on it's own to make up the difference, surely?
At similar situation (same game shape, same enthusiasm level) give a plus... It's not so difficult to believe...
I strongly believe that a rematch with same rosters, tactics and enthusiasm is the best solution. In the worst scenario a rematch only with same players and tactics.
