Despite losing the first game, we managed to move on place upwards. Now we are only 1,6 points behind the next group.

Very interesting to see your posts, both regarding the ranking and training. Since I have 3 youngsters currently in training, I am looking forward to your recommendations.

Game 2: Sverige (48) 111:99 Slovenia (22)

Second game, first victory. Last week our first half was a desaster, this week our first half was exellent. If we ignore Martinsson, the rest of the team had a 70%+ FG half. That was a monster half!

MVP: Tjädermo. He was our high percentage scoring machine. He also finished the game with a DD.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: Martinsson. I could say again. On the one hand he had a really bad shooting performance, in the other hand he dished out nine assists. I really hope he gets the hang and performances constantly on a high level.

X-Factor: I will take Everland. After Tunggard had no further motivation to play, Everland showed a stellar performance. Great shooting and a nice touch from the free throw line helped us to seal the victory.

With our victory and a little surprise from Romania, we should move up to the fourth place... if I'm right. Danmark and Poland won their games and the keep the first two places between them. Slovenia is still in front of us thanks to the better difference. Croatia lost both games with -1 and -3. That's from the category "first we got unlucky and than the others had luck". Unfortunately we are their next opponents and I think they will try to let their frustration out on us.
Nonetheless, great game and thanks for the good game shape. Please keep it up and if needed raise it to 8 or better 9. Our group is very balanced and in the end several points can deceide about a higher place.

And I would be glad, if we can start a discussion about the NT and how we can develop it further.

Well coached! Stealing one from a better ranked team is always nice!

I will try to manage Åkerstens' form a bit better. He´s not easy to coach tho, a sucker for hogging minutes on the court. He keeps: "Naaah coach, I feel fresh, about to hit a streak!. Keep me in" "Hey coach! Rested a minute, legs feel good, rookie out there mess things up. Put me back in!". All day long.

On the upside he gets a bit of free-ride-training this season, as i´m training my prospects in outside-skills. Hope to slow his decay a bit at least...

With our victory (+16,3 pts) we moved up two ranks. Now we are in the fourth group ;) Croatia and Germany are in front of us, but it's only a short distance.

What the hell?!

We were for almost the whole game the better team, outrebounded them and than this stupid 3pt-scoring from Croatia! Boaahh... I'm really p...ed right now. That was again a very "interesting" game of the engine.

Without my wrong GDP, this would have been a win... Could kick myself for this

Game 3: Sweden (43) 119:124 Croatia (42)

This loss is on me. The wrong pediction caused a -7.5% on the OD of our players and in the end this lead to the meltdown in the fourth quarter. Without this the game was ours.
After I saw the game shape of Croatia, I was quite sure they would go inside. The RnG surprised me. They lost two players, got outrebounded and had a hard time against our defense... and still won -.- And the substitution was a mess today. But I know why now. And this shouldn't happen again.

This loss takes us in a quite "akward" position. If this goes wrong, Poland will go for a 7:0 and behind them there will be 3 teams with 4:3... and one with a 5:2. And we have to go for this 5:2. Our next game is against Danmark and the other teams (Poland, Slovenia and Croatia) ahve to play against each other during the next games. So from the four teams which fight for second place, we have the "easiest" decission: win all games!
The other three have to poker for there enthusiasm and so on. I really wanted this victory today, but the loss doesn't eliminate us from the Euro. For this our group is too deadly balanced.

A quick look at our guys:
MVP of the team: Akersten. He scored like a young god among mortals. 65.4% FG as a SG is awesome. I would take this scoring from him every week.

Stat line of the night: Widerström. During the first half it looked like Widerström was going for a quadruple double. 15 rebs, 7 assists and 7 blocks paired with 25 pts showed his true potential and usability.

Teamwork: 4 players with at least 11 rebs... STRONG!

What I miss: JR and free throw. These are the last parts for this team to be freaking balanced. I really hope that during the next reasons there will emerge players which can take this team around Widerström to a higher level.
