Jump Shot Guards train Jump Shot (of course, haha), some Jump Range, a little Handling and a little Driving... the same goes with Jump Shot Wingmen...

On the other hand, Jump Shot Forwards train JS, some IS and a little JR.

A little correction

1v1 forwards trains:
- primarily Dribbling,
- medium handling
- small Jump shot
- small Inside shot

1v1 guards trains:
- primarily Dribbling,
- medium handling
- medium Jump shot

I think he asked for Jump Shot training not 1v1.

Ohh my bad. You are correct.

Jump shot forwards trains:
- primarily jump shot
- small jump range
- small inside shot
- small dribbling
- small handling

Jump shot guards trains:
- primarily jump shot
- medium jump range
- small dribbling
- small handling

Is there any information on if the amount trained is greater or smaller for forwards vs guards.

So does jumpshot guards and jumpshot forwards train an equal amount of JS?

Here are the numbers from the old but reliable Coach Parrot. The numbers are in pops per week, assuming that the trainee always receive 48+ minutes.

Jump Shot Guards
0.5 JS
0.1 JR
0.05 HA
0.05 DR

Jump Shot Forwards
0.4 JS
0.2 IS
0.05 JR
(No training pops for Handling and Driving)

To answer the question, JS Guards gives more JS pops than JS Forwards. The advantage of JS Forwards though is that you can also get some IS pops.

It all depends on height.

A 6'0" 18yo trains like this with 48+ min:
Jump Shot Guards
0.53 JS 0.16 JR 0.07 HA 0.07 DR for a total of 0.83 pop/wk
Jump Shot Forwards
0.36 JS 0.07 JR 0.30 IS for a total of 0.73 pop/wk

And a 7'6" 18yo trains like this with 48+min:
Jump Shot Guards
0.42 JS 0.12 JR 0.05 HA 0.03 DR for a total of 0.62 pop/wk
Jump Shot Forwards
0.28 JS 0.06 JR 0.11 IS for a total of 0.45 pop/wk

So it's definitely a cost/benefit situation.
