Continental Semi-Finalists, Season 49

For the first time since season 41 Team Canada was able to reach the semi-finals. We were able to advance by a 7 point differential over the host Argentina, and came within 1 point of winning the group over Brazil as we tied them in point differential but Brazil had scored more points than us.

Team Chile, which had a very strong team, easily defeated us in the semi-finals. This result was suspected but should not take anything away from us. A good season, a good team with a good result.

Moving forward, in repechage group B, we face the Netherlands, Ghana and Iran. Will Team Canada advance to world championships? Only time will tell.
