I have one HoF player. Currently 23 years old and 208 cm and 109 TSP

Jump Shot: wondrous (14) Jump Range: respectable (7)
Outside Def.: sensational (12) ↑ Handling: tremendous (13)
Driving: wondrous (14) Passing: respectable (7)
Inside Shot: sensational (12) Inside Def.: prominent (10)
Rebounding: sensational (12) Shot Blocking: strong (8)

My thoughts were to make him into a SF for cost efficiency. But he's already 23 years old and I think I can only get him to around 125-130 TSP when he turns 28...and then he's already 28.
I can go a few different routes ofc. More focused on inside, outside or balance etc.
I had hopes of getting him to play minutes with the NT but not sure he will ever make it.

But I also have a 20 year old superstar PG. Hes 183cm and has 92 TSP.

Jump Shot: prolific (11) Jump Range: respectable (7)
Outside Def.: prodigious (16) Handling: prolific (11)
Driving: sensational (12) Passing: respectable (7)
Inside Shot: strong (8) Inside Def.: proficient (9)
Rebounding: inept (4) Shot Blocking: respectable (7)

My dilemna is if I should focus on him rather than the HoF.
I believe I can get him to around 135+ TSP when he turns 27.
He'd then be c.a.

JS: 19 - JR: 11
OD: 18 - HA: 19
DR: 20 - PA: 17
IS: 13 - ID: 10
RB: 4 - BL: 7

He would definitely play for the NT like this. Iceland is a small nation with a small pool of players.

So yeah what do you think. Which one should I focus on?
If the choice is the HoF then I ask what direction should I go with him?

Train them both. Rotate 1 on 1 Fs, OD, and passing for a season.
JS: 19 - JR: 11
OD: 18 - HA: 19
DR: 20 - PA: 17
IS: 13 - ID: 10
RB: 4 - BL: 7

That seems impossible for a superstar

Whats the cap for a superstar you think?

JS: 18 - JR: 11
OD 17 - HA 18
DR: 19 - PA 17
IS: 12 - ID 9

Basically shave 1 off most of the numbers, would that be possible for a superstar?

I assume you mean for the rest of this season + the whole of next season right?

That would make Steinar approximately like this when he turns 25 at the start of season 62

JS: 15 - JR: 7 (thats too low right?)
OD: 13 - HA: 15/16
DR: 17 - PA: 10
IS: 12/13 - ID: 10
RB: 12 - SB: 8

Eiríkur would be approximately like this turning 22

JS: 12 - JR: 7
OD: 18 - HA: 15
DR: 16 - PA: 11
IS: 10 - ID: 9
RB: 4 - SB: 7

At this point I feel it would be a similar dilemna.
Steinar would need more ID but Eiríkur would need more JS and PA, even some JR

That is also not possible for a superstar according to buzzermanager slary tool. Plus, with 17 passing ability his cost effectiveness will drop dramatically since his salary would skyrocket. I think it doesn't worth it.

Also at this age I could spend two whole seasons training ID and it would only get Steinar to about 15 ID

I typically suggest looking at the TL to get an idea of what is possible and what isn't for certain potentials, but you 100% cannot reach that with 8 potential. 17 passing alone will almost cap him.

I would go much lighter on passing and stack up more OD. OD is the most valuable skill both for games as well as resale value. Passing is expensive and takes up a lot of cap space, so I wouldn't recommend going above 12.

Something like this is probably rare but possible:

Jump Shot: stupendous (17) Jump Range: prominent (10)
Outside Def.: legendary (20) Handling: colossal (19)
Driving: legendary (20) Passing: prominent (10)
Inside Shot: prolific (11) Inside Def.: prolific (11)
Rebounding: inept (4) Shot Blocking: respectable (7)

Still too high.
I would shoot for this.
JS: 15- JR: 11
OD 18- HA 18
DR: 19 - PA 13
IS: 12 - ID 9

and this is showing 100%

Yeah it's hard to find balance between training those two guys because Steinar would need so much more ID than Eiríkur that Eiríkur would be kind of wasted in that sense.

I can go for with the HoF:
JS: 16 - JR: 7
OD: 13 - HA: 16
DR: 17/18 - PA: 11
IS: 14 - ID: 16
RB: 12 - SB: 9

But that would leave Eiríkur the guard looking something like this
JS: 14 - JR: 7
OD: 17/18 - HA: 16
DR: 17 - PA: 12
IS: 11 - ID: 15/16 (which has has no use for)
RB: 4 - SB: 8

If I just say fuck it to the inside skill of the HoF (who is 208cm) and just train the guard then the HoF would just end up being a tall guard, kind of better maybe than wasting skills on the guard he won't use?

This build looks amazing to be honest. I would maybe change ID to 10 and JR to 11 instead if possible.

But if you had to choose which duo would you like more?

Duo A

Steinar Elfarsson - 208cm & 28 years old - around 90k salary
JS: 16 - JR: 7
OD: 13 - HA: 16
DR: 18 - PA: 10
IS: 14 - ID: 16
RB 12 - SB: 9

Eiríkur Alfreðsson - 183cm - 25 years old - around 54k salary
JS: 14 - JR: 7
OD: 18 - HA: 16
DR: 17 - PA: 12
IS: 11 - ID: 15/16
RB: 4 - SB: 8

Or duo B

Steinar Elfarsson - 208cm & 28 years old - around 85k salary
JS: 18 - JR: 9
OD: 14 - HA: 18
DR: 20 - PA: 10
IS: 14 - ID: 11
RB 12 - SB: 9

Eiríkur Alfreðsson - 183cm - 25 years old - around 82k salary
JS: 17 - JR: 11
OD: 20 - HA: 19
DR: 20 - PA: 10
IS: 11 - ID: 10
RB: 4 - SB: 8

P.S. big fan of the youtube channel

Not really, make the Superstar a low salary defensive stopper. That is what I am doing with my Superstar potential player.

Jump Shot: tremendous Jump Range: prolific
Outside Def.: colossal Handling: marvelous
Driving: marvelous Passing: tremendous ↑
Inside Shot: prominent Inside Def.: prominent
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: strong

He only cost me 56K a week, next season it will be closer to 75K.
Buzzermanager has him at 97%-100% complete. And TBH, I only want one more OD and IS pop.
