Yesterday we played the first match of the tournament with the Lithuanian national team.
Our team did not approach the game in the best shape. Only 6 players out of 17 were able to catch shape 8. And mostly these are the players on the far side of the bench. As a result, I had to invent, I decided to play a game with a shooter in position C. It seemed to me that this was a good plan of attack specifically for this situation. At first, the match was going pretty well, we managed not to let the opponent go into the gap, it turned out quite often to earn FT. In the second half, the fatigue of the players affected, they began to play worse in attack and defense. As a result, we finished with a difference of - 49.
Of course, after the first half I wanted more. But we are moving on. I hope for a good shape of the players for the next match.
Only 1 update last week: Boyd +1. Now he has become the player with the highest TSP in the team.
In addition, an interesting question was sent to the mail from Mr. Skerys:
"With this tactic, the team practically throws at most one player. The shortcoming due to rebounds is also clearly visible. What do you think?"
Well, you can see the indicators in the attack of my players: 18/45 for Lyle and Fitchy, 2/37 for everyone else. Given the poor form of the team leaders, my plan seemed good enough to score some points in attack. And I must say that it turned out pretty well, but only before the break. After that, the opponent's players with higher endurance got quite a huge advantage. A heavy defeat could not be avoided absolutely in any scenario. Yes, we played - 49. I think this is not the worst option.
On rebounds: yes, we have weakened, but in numbers it is not so noticeable: 10-9 on rebounds in attack. With a different arrangement, it would be better. But why jump for a rebound if the opponent gets into the basket? =)
