Nollaig Chridheil!

Our goal is to win 2-3 games this season: Shqiperia and Crna Gora are must wins (as of now). Hellas and Romania are stronger than us, if we are lucky we can win one game. The rest of our oppenents is almost impossible to beat.

Goal: reach ranking <60

At half-time, I believed that we could actually win this game. Unfortunately, we collapsed in the second half and lost by 33. Shot selection was a problem, probably due to the high pace of our offense. Lyle and MacMurchie went 6-33. Fitchy was the top scorer with 13 points.

04.01.20: Romania U21 @ Scotland U21 100:84
Thanks to a good fourth quarter, we "only" lost by 16. Romania played as a team, we did not. Lyle scored a team high 39 points.
I am very pleased with the game shape of our players, thank you! I hope we can maintain this level of GS and get MacShimes and Boswell to 8 or 9 as well for the Crna Gora game.

11.01.20: Scotland U21 @ España U21 62:106
44-point loss against the best team in our group. Fitchy scored a game high 33 points.
Unfortunately, important players like MacShimes and Boswell have terrible GS. Managers have been contacted, but they have their own priorities, which I have to respect, of course. Therefore, MacMinn is now part of to the team. I am pleased with how most of the players develop and will contact some of you soon to discuss the training of our 18 and 19 year olds.

Closer than I expected, but we were still not able to get our first win of the season. I have high hopes for Monday's game against Crna Gora.
BB-Mails will follow next week as I was very busy this week. Sorry for that.

First win of the season! We finally played as a team and managed to overcome their well thought through game plan.
In other great news: Bradley MacShimes is on sale! Let's hope that his next owner cares about his GS.

Similar to the Srbija game, we played well in the first 20 minutes and then collapsed. Surprisingly, they "tried harder" than we did (preparation for next week's fixture against Shqiperia). This proves that other teams don't think of their games against us as 'easy wins'. We managed to move up to rank 55 and hope to stay there.

In the NBA, they call these games blowouts! Great game by our team, especially if you look at Albania's turnover total (33!). The season is not over yet as we move to scrimmages. We've agreed to a series of games against India U21 to test our 18-20 year olds. Fitchy and Lyle are still on the team as they are looking to move up in the all time scoring list.

Yesterday, I created a Utopia team which is devoted to training Scottish talents. Feel free to contact me if you want to sell a Scottish player aged 18 or 19.

First friendly, a loss to India. As I said two weeks ago, we are playing a series of games against them to test players and strategies. First start for Michael, Dobbie and McColgan who played decent alongside Lyle and Fitchy. They are getting more time to experience the national team in the next weeks.

Fingal Fitchy had a sore back that night from carrying us in this game! 41 points on 16/22 and 6/7 from three, incredible! We are moving up in the team ranking. Right now, we are sitting at 54 which is brings us one step closer to top 50.

It's only a few more weeks until the draft. If you'd like to get some advice on your draft order, feel free to contact me. If you do not plan to train your draftees, please sell them.

Finally, a massive thank you to managers TRUF and waterflow for letting me buy Clanachan and Elphinstone!

Season 53:

Many great players had to leave the team this offseason: Fitchy (who is now the all time leader in points!), Lyle, MacMurchie, Simpson, Seton...
This season, we have a decent starting five, but not much power coming off the bench. Our goal, therefore, is to remain in the top 55. I do not see us getting into the top 50 this season, but let's see what happens.

First game's on Monday against Russia.
