The second one absolutely! Because of potential worth more!

EDH Wolves II
Go for the one with the better potential when they are this close.

Asking a little late, but anyhow... I'd like to get a few peoples opinion between two players.
1. (PG) Rating= 5* (A) Potential= 4 Age=18
2. (SF) Rating=5* (A) Potential= 5 Age=19
Everyone always goes for the younger guy... and my situation is no exception?
Any though would be welcome.

#1. He will become good quickly due to being 18
+ i got the 100 post in this thread :D
younger guys trainquicker, so even though the second guyy has better potential, the younger guy (#1) will actually havew a chance of reaching his full potential due to his extra year.

Who is your favorite?
1. 18y, 5b star, A+ grade, 4b potential
2. 18y, 4b star, B grade, 5b potential
no.1 is 3 levels star rating ahead of no.2 but the later has greater potential. What to do?
Is there a chance to draft them both?

Depends what you want to do, if you want to sell him straight away, go for player 2. If you want to train him for many many season until he reaches his cap then go for player number 2. If you want a player with good starting skills and good potential to train for a few seasons into a solid player that you can afford then go for player 1.
I personally would go for player 1, because chances are you aren't going to be able to train him to reach the potential cap of player 2 anyway.
There is a chance to draft them both, depends on where you are picking, and a bit of luck that no one else has scouted that player.
