Lol, this board has been relatively quiet but now is a good time to get some chatter.
Now that the game is over, I can be honest.
1) I am really scared of AO lol. They just beat the top 3 teams..in a ROW; so no fluke- something about them...
2) I was considering losing the last game intentionally, to get the 2 seed, just to avoid AO.
3) Then I revisited how good the Eagles are and I was confused as to what to do.
4) Then I realized that if I lost tonight, I would have to play the Eagles on the road as I would drop to the 3 seed.
5) By the time I thought through the scenarios, I had a headache.
--So I gave up and just said I will put my team out there and hope for the best regardless of who I play and where. No matter what, each matchup is going to be tough. Any one of the 4 teams can win...so just pray its your team.

Meanwhile, as we war in the Big 8. It looks like Wolf Dogs, will have a relatively safe road to the finals. Build up enthusiasm and game shape as he prepares to play the worn out team that emerges from the Big 8 lol

Good analysis from your point of view. For me, it's a tale of two seasons. I thought I had HCA locked up by starting 13-0. Then my starting center went down the scrimmage after the all star game. He was out for a week, but his game shape wasn't the same. I then went on to lose to every elite team I played after that, and finish the last 9 games 5-4. I'm glad I somehow ended up with the 2 seed and HCA if I make it to the league finals. It's going to be tough every game after this, but that's the fun. Can't wait to get it started.

On the other side, I don't think the Wolf Dogs have it as easy as we thought. They lost tonight to the Leopards, who are the 2 seed. So it won't be as easy.

I don't remember exactly, but I think there was always something going in my favor for all 3 of those games. Like an opposing player being injured, or coming back from an injury and having low game shape. Me getting to play at home that time around, or something.

This time around in the playoffs will definitely be a lot tougher. For the most part, looks like everyone is near full strength and having to go on the road won't be easy.

Well whatever happened, it wasn't a fluke if you beat all three of us.

My game was not an easy one to follow. Tied after quarter 1. Tied after halftime.
AO's best player and center with 4 fouls at the half so I felt pretty good hoping one more foul would take him out of the game.
Nope-AO dominated the 3rd quarter and was up 6 after 3.
Huge 4th by y guys to pull out the win. (also flaw with bb...AO's starters came out of the game down 4 with 4 minutes to go. That doesnt happen in real life.

2 things that really helped me out.
I got lucky and guessed right as to AO gameplan.
HCA i believe was the deciding factor as it gave me a boost in the 4th.
Was definately as tough a game as I expected.

I watched bits and pieces of the game, but caught the whole 4th quarter. With it being close for three quarters, I was really hoping for a more competitive 4th quarter from my team. Before my starters got pulled though, I could already feel the momentum being lost. But yeah, seeing 4/5 of my starters getting pulled and then facing a double digit deficit was not what I wanted to see.

You were the better team though. Right now, I'm at a loss on what to do for next season, but at least I have some time to mull it over.

Good luck to whoever is left.

I must say I have no idea how this whole thing works sometimes. Based on my ratings and the injury of my opponent's best player, it seemed like it should have been a blow out by me. Turned out I was blown out bad.

I built a double digit lead in the 1st quarter and stretched it to 20 by halftime. The Guardians cut that back to 10 by the end of the third, but I was able to hold those guys off in the 4th. I thought it would be a lot closer, but I guess that's the power of HCA. This next game on the road will be tough. Looking for a good, competetive game.

Man, I followed this game more closely than any I have in a year or so.
We were not joking when we said it would be a struggle for whoever wins the division.
Foul trouble to my guys early, Padracelli (most important player to the gameplan LI), misses entire 2cd and 3rd quarter.
Meanwhile, your PF continues to play eve with 4 fouls in the second quarter and destroys my team for 46 pts.
You pushed the lead out to about 13/14 mid third quarter..thats when I started to worry.
Goat chipped away and took advantage of the mismatch at sf with Rico getting hot.
Got close but never could tie or get the lead until my center hit the 3 to tie with about 20 sec left.
The game engine never makes it easy on any of us. Pulling key starters at questionable times (both teams).
Overtime came down to who could get the lead and force the other team to start fouling.
Extremely tough game, one that I would have lost if I was not home. HCA was huge. Fitting that our game went to OT.
Sorry for the long message, but had alot to say after a game like that. Wolf is waiting and ready and also underrated.
