Didnt intend to disrespect the Red conference. There are certainly some strong sides over there but over past 2 or 3 seasons the Blue side has had 6 or 7 strong sides competing for finals whereas the Reds have typically only had 1 or 3 standout sides. Even Cheltenham took a dive last season as they sold all their stars and forfeited most games. Looks like this season will be tighter though as Tropical and Tradies have picked up some good players whereas on our Blue side Hey McFly have bombed in early games and some others havent improved as much as expected. Will be interesting to see how the crossover games go this time round - hope the Reds can back up your claim but I still rate the Blues to come on top.

Fair call blues could come out on top but was just clarifying if you were underestimating the red side. It will be interesting, i think i only won 2 or 3 last year in the crossover games, the cup cost me in those games as i made the round of 32, now i got knocked out early in the cup hopefully can take a few more wins.

So half way through the season boys, any calls for how the rest will go?

2 front contenders in each conference, makes for an interesting finals series if nothing else :)

should be an interesting finals series, no doubt some teams will be cashed up to make some big buys late in the season which could cause a few upsets. My money is on ACT Blaze to take it out and move back up to Div II.
Seems like the Blue side is proving to be the stronger conference again, rare Spares on Red side hasnt logged in for a few weeks so we might see them go bot leaving Tropical and Tradies to battle it out for a GF appearance

After going from 10-0 to 10-4 its becoming out of my reach. Rare spares could do damage if he logs on he has hit some good form. ACT look the goods on the blue side but wolves could possibly force the upset in finals. After a minor rebuild of my squad im finding it hard to get the cash for the missing piece of the puzzle hopefully it all works out and i get to play the best team come finals time.

Hopefully you didn't make your move too soon Brad, you still have several weeks that you need to support that extra 70k..

The difference with me is I came down here cashed up, I have been taking a loss of almost 100k a week with PR from demotion to keep my core 3 players but I expect if I can position myself right it will be of benefit back in DII..

Got the player for 200K was stupid not to go for it and with me needing one more starter i needed to look for a bargain as the demand for players will skyrocket just before finals time.

Im looking for promotion here, form suggests i wont get close but if i can turn it around i would need at least one 50K to contend with you. If i get promoted ive got the 500K bonus to spend it all on my arena and get the weekly income back to what i need. Just wait and see what happens i guess could prove costly but gotta risk it

Fair call too and admirable, I have a similar dilemma as I have been bleeding money I need to promote or keeping my boys all season long will prove to be a silly move.

Can't count out the 2 other teams in each conference, quietly plodding along, especially Wolves. :)

Finals time is here fellas get up and about
What are your predictions on who will get the job done to reach promotion?
ACT Blaze the hot favourites for mine, best roster in the comp and with also the best record easily the benchmark all season. On the red side who knows what rare spares do can knock off anyone but then lose randomly somehow, probs whoever wins out of the poon's and tropics will make the final out of the red block.

Well due to some serious under-rating on my part it is anyones season, well done to ASA, mass fail on my end though as I have wasted a bit of coin with my key 3 this season..

Oh well, no point in dwelling, at least I can train my new guys for another season, good luck all

Tough luck on the loss. I think ASA seem to have done a good job in managing enth level this season, I have seen them 'take it easy' in a lot of games so there enth level would have been right up there and that was enough to get them over the line against you when you went normal against their crunch time.

You have the best line up in this division so a lot of us would have been happy to see you move on but as you say it is pretty open now and rare spares are probably the front runners. Good luck for next season!
