question to all candidates.

if you look at NT roster and to its story you will notice that NT roster strongly depend on training when players were U21 - and, second, we MUST refresh the roster.

So, HOW will you help me?

The NT roster is really old, seems like there was a hole in training for lots of generations since only Galvin, Motihala and Mokitimi are under 30 years old and capable of playing at NT level.

The 20 and 21-year-old players aren't looking great, but if I'm elected I will personally contact the Managers that own interesting players (Gulch, Janele, Legodi for example) to develop a training plan that fits more the plans of the NT.

Talking about the 18 and 19-year-old: we have players with nice potential, I'd like to work on them to make the U21 team competitive in the following seasons and, after that, the NT. I will follow in a particular way Masilea (29093903), if he's well trained he's the future of South Africa, since HoF potential are very rare in small nations like SA.

I would also ask for your opinion on the players with higher potential to make them useful for U21, NT and for the club which owns the player.

I didn't mean to say this was an easy task, I worked as a scout for three seasons and I know that many managers want to train their players in their own way and this usually leads to a discussion and maybe a compromise that helps both the club and the U21. That's why a find really important the communication between manager and U21 coach, specially in a small countries.

Well, you are the only serious candidate here and it seems you worked a bit with BlackMouse, the current NT coach for the senior, so unless there is screw-up somewhere, you will probably be elected and you'll probably do your job.

I don't know if you mostly discuss with italian coach for italian training or here, but communication might leads to discussion who might lead to compromise? but most often than you hope, there is no communication at all, no answer, nada. Ebene is an active guy, there is also some other guys who seem responsive, but there is national and international manager who'll just let you rot in the sun while the player is decaying.

There is good things in being NT coach, but there is also a lot of frustrating things. I hope for this country you are ready for it and ready to work for the long term and not just one mandate and done. You, I don't really care, you want to be the U21 coach, you'll just have to assume and enjoy what is enjoyable and suck it up what is less :)

Everything you said it's absolutely right: there are many managers that are not interested in the opinion of the U21 coaches and don't answer to the BB-Mails. So if the player is trained, even if I disagree with the training plan, it's still a good thing, if it's not trained, I would always keep an eye on him, but I would probably be forced to recruit a player with lower potential but well trained. That's why I would also consider even potential 4, if it's necessary, for the U21.

By the way I think I'm ready to coach a small U21 team. If I get elected I will be prepared to work hard for SA and I would also consider myself lucky because I would have the chance to work with an experienced manager like BlackMouse and get his help.

We'll work on that. He is crucial for the future of the NT more than U21. If the we manage to lower the price in a way that someone could buy him and train him properly or persuade the manager to train him better, it will be a great win.

Yep, Masilea looks like a neo-draftee (I don't know initial skills): it's not too late, as (as neo-draftee) he hasn't "holes" in his skills and a very high, attractive potential. I think that you can actually sell him at a reasonable price if you cannot train him (your trainees roster is fairly complex - this player just needs loong sessions of single-spot training on primaries, and in 4 seasons will be the PG of SA NT (and in 2 of U21 likely...).

edit: I have to say that this season a big hole was filled - great, although not single spot

tthe situation of NT (multiple seasons' hole) is bad enough to make that player recoverable in mid term. Burned for U21 on the other side
