From the game manual about arena:
"The happier your fans are, the more of each type of ticket they will buy,..."

From the game manual about fan survey:
"When BuzzerBeater fans don't like the way you are running your team, they are less likely to buy merchandise and attend your games...."
"Questions 4-6 ask about the team's performance in recent games. BuzzerBeater fans are notoriously fickle, and their opinion of your team can swing dramatically on the outcome of a single game..."

I have to disagree on that point with you. Of course losing games causes lower attendance, but further, the fan survey is a way from BB to make things more transparent for the user. It helps us to understand why we have high or low attendance during home games and gain more or less money with merchandising.

I do agree with you that winning games in general is the most important thing to get high attendance, and it is not too bad not to have a high rating in every single category of the fan survey.

Yeah having high ratings in the fan survey is good. I'm just saying that the effect of the "afraid of players being transferred" category being low isn't that severe. Merchandise doesn't take a big hit, and it doesn't affect attendance much. That is my experience anyway. The other categories seem more important than this one. Especially because when this one is low, the "General manager is doing everything he can" category is generally high so maybe they just cancel each other out.

Thats true. The only time I have these two categories high at the same time is when I buy a decent player, which barely happens. I maybe buy one player a season during the past couple seasons, so this rating is always kind of low whereas the other one is always high because I barely sell any of my good players.

Mine is the opposite, I buy and sell about 50 players a season (probably more) and so my "Afraid players are transferred" is at 0.5 and my "General Manager is doing everything he can" is always on 4.5 or 5.

You can still have a good overall rating even with low ratings in 1 category. GM is doing everything he can is only 2 for me but because everything else is high so overall i have a 5 ball rating.

Jus to add, this season my rating has ranged between 1/2 ball to 1 1/2 balls.

But my merchandising has increased from 28k - 36k or so.

What I dont get, and think is a glitch in the game, is that my team went on the road and played a team rananked 300 spots ahead of me and I lose in a real close game, and I get a HALF a ball in the Played well in last league game....That is just stupid, my team played great, way over their heads actually......BB should fix this glitch.

As a Manager you may find your team has played really well (I think so too!) I've had this situation a couple of times as well.

But a hardcore fan may feel very different. Your team is everything to them, they played a game and t h e y L O S T!!!!!
So the day after, your fans are really upset about this, especially if it was a close game. After a couple of days they may realize that the loss wasn't so bad at all. Certainly if you post a win the next game. The rating for how you're doing for *this season* will reflect better how they feel after a couple of days...

hehe i think i am a fan like they ask in a survey, because a close games hurts for me as much then a game where my team get dominated. if you loose with just a few points, my impression of the games are normaly the faults the team made in the last minute, i know this view isn't rational but hey i am a fan ;)

Mostly an expected lose is more comfortabel with me if you are always 10-15 points behind, and it runs like expected before. As a player it is a totally different thing, as long you made your silly mistakes in the beginning^^

I found this amusing:

The "The team played well in our last game against K.K. PartizaN BeograD, our hated rival" was 5 balls until a week or so ago, when it dropped to 4.5 balls. Lately I'm playing TIE whenever I can since there are a lot of bots in my league and I'm still winning by 20-40 points.

Similar is the "I am pleased with team's performance this season": when I was 5-0 or 6-0, this category had 5 balls all the time. Now I'm 12-0 and it dropped to 4.5 balls...huh??
