Your opponent has some rather nice inside offence ratings so 2-3 zone is probably the way to go.

On offence, you'll probably have more success with motion since that's where his defence is weaker.

I would definatly say 2-3 zone myself. You will defend optimally when they decide to play close to the basket, and since no (typical) team has brilliant 3pt shooting yet (game needs more time), you will pick up most of the defensive rebounds from the missed shots. :-)

Play your guards with the best outside defending ratings and think about using Look Inside or Low Post on offence. Put your best outside defender in the same starting position as his best outside shooter.

The best advice I can offer any player is to think about how your defence matches up to your opponents offence and vice versa. If your opponent plays motion look at his outside shooting ratings then stop and think: don't immediately rush to a 3-2 zone. Can your defence handle his offence in man-to-man? If you have parity as a minimum, is it worth weakening your rebounding and inside defence? Can your team's defence compete without the changes?

Similarily on offence are your offensive ratings on Base Offence better than his defence ratings? Do you know how much your ratings will change if you use a different offensive scheme? These things must be considered!
