I agree but if you got 2 or 3 tough teams in your division and all of them are training inside players and are quite unlikely to have money to improve their outside you can adjust your game to that. In higher divisions you will be in huge problems if your defense is too weak. That it should be a higher priority than defense is something that is a too big simplification in my opinion. If you can get a very superior offense you might be able to dominate opponents so much so that their defense can't handle you.

For me offense for a PG is mainly passing and handling ability not shooting. The PG is supposed to create scoring chances rather than scoring himself, commonly the case both in BB and RL.

For R & G I guess that it is advantageous with a PG that are good at shooting. But for motion and other outside tactics at least on paper it does not feel important to me. Maybe because I have a very nice (for my level) small forward that scores as well as my SG so that my PG have good opportunities to get someone else to score. I happen to have a scoring PG though as his preferred position actually is SG

I'd get the best PG with the most potential that you can train up for the price you want to spend...whatever is missing can be trained up.

About shotblocking - not only blocked shot counts, others are altered and result in a miss too (with no block recorded). And you know, when there is not enough shots to block for your center i.e. alot of treys and mid-range filed goals, he canť really block a lot of shots then.

As for PG try to build soemting like very good back up for your SG but with good passing.

It is good to have three shooters but you need some good passing also to create the open shots so that should be a high priority as well of course. I would make sure that I at least have good passing and handling for my PG but it will of course be a nice bonus if he can shoot as well. In my case I happen to have a good shooter as PG and it improves my outside shooting of course.

ok, thanks for help. What about driving vs jump shot? I may have a good driving, so finding good shot position, but wiht a low JS my player will miss it. Correct me if I am wrong.

in my cases the SG/PG nearly looks the same and are pretty well balanced in the top six skills. I believe those "combo" guards are ideal on PG for outside strategies, and for inside strategies with inside tactics on SG. With normal offensiv Focus, i don't have much experience, but i think in those system also those multis will work probadly also liek the specialist.
