I know I am in D5 and this is my first full BB season, but why not vote for me? When I took over last year, I brought a scrub team to the playoffs with dedication and being online every day. I know I probably will not win, but still. If the USA team was so "bad" last year, why not bring in someone who can turn it around? I may be a newcomer to BB, but you can't always elect 10 year vets, can you?

The Guard - pure and simple. I would probably switch the Center and the forward offensively tho.
Option B the guards are not as strong as the inside people are for Option A.

Absolutely...you're right. Taking a DV team to the playoffs (and failing to advance to DIV) absolutely qualifies you to be U21 manager.
You have my vote...

Option A.
I like the post with 14/15/14 and the versatility of the SF. With that high of a rating for OD for the PF I think this team's strongest tactics in a neutral scenario would be LP and 1-3-1 (I assumed 12 rtg is OD for PG "A").
14/15/14 is prob our 4th best U21 post currently though from what I can see in the NT database. Its also almost exactly my C on my current roster. We should (hopefully) see 18/19 rtg for top posts in IS, ID. Hopefully SOMEBODY is training their guards on passing.
Looking at a potential roster of NT Candidates I think we are an inside team this year. I think we need to maximize our post strength, start a big lineup and encourage the guy holding the 5 OD post to pause his inside training, go Pressure for 3 weeks, HN for 2 and then back to an IS,ID,REB rotation. Having a player who can anchor your D at the sf with a high OD and ID makes it much less impacting on your PD in a non-PD focused D.
Customized training plans should be sent to the top 12 guys. And we need to define a SF training plan that maximizes the overall depth at that position. Regardless of our debate on whether we can impact the training of a SF for the 21 team, it is most certainly our weakest position.

Why would you run a 1-3-1 against a team that likes to push the ball? That doesn't mean they won't look inside or low post you.....
They could kill your tactic knowing your PF and C are the way to go by going 2-3 themselves...
I am not saying, I am just saying

Its not about the matchup. . .that's why I outlined this as their best "neutral" settings. 1-3-1 bc of the 4's ability to trap due to their high OD. It wasn't clear that these teams are matching up, so my point is that I don't believe Option A's strength is necessarily PTB, but that they should go inside to their bigs. I'm not advocating 1-3-1 against PTB, I'm advocating that Option A is naturally an LP offense and according to their personnel a 1-3-1 defense.

I know I'm not the only one who felt this way, I've discussed it with others. Wozzvt isn't up for election - Jelme is. I went through the process of having drafted an 18-year-old with barely enough talent to make the u21 team. I knew Ernie Rainey would be a role player if he ever made the u21, because his starting salary was extremely low compared to the other u21 players. I never once got any input on his development from Jelme and I updated the database constantly. The first time I had contact from Jelme was when I found out Rainey had made the team...prior to that, I had assumed Rainey was not a candidate.
A lot of times the tactics for each game were posted quickly and on the run. And any conversation on the off-site forum always starts at the top and the rest will follow. I'll be the first to admit that I seldomly posted on that site, but it was mostly due to the fact that there never seemed to be any debate.
And you may be right - he did his communicating via IM - but how does that build the community strength on the off-site forum? I just think it's important to build that social network of the USA community and get excitement going for the national teams.

To be fair though you obviously did a good job training him so there was nothing for him to help with really. And you couldve asked jelme what he thought about him. I see what you mean though.
Also a few days ago I messaged jelme about my 18 yo and he replied within hours and he wasn't even the u21 coach because it was after the season. So if you messaged him I'm sure he woulda replied.
