Im having weird games too.. One team that MUST make the most of what they have is Rip City.. Looking at Salary.. I dont know if they have many player at all over 12k or so.. but the manager is getting the most outta them and holding their own.. I have had game also where according to the "Rating system" I was much better than the opponent.. but was smoked) I think Matchups are huge, home court is a factor.... Still guessing on Enthusiasm ....

Home court advantage used to be an insanely large factor. I remember in the first few season I was playing this game, the team who was home won the game, no questions asked, but it seems that nowadays it's fixed. As for matchups and enthusiasm, I think entusiasm is a pretty big factor (not saying too big, but it does play a large role), and the newly created matchups along with the help line defense(it used to be no matter what the pg was guarding the pg, sg on the sg, and so on for every scoring opportunity posted in the live view), can change the outcome of a game.

Congradulations Rip City on your victory over the booshes, I hope i can get the same result in my match against him this upcoming tuesday.

WOO INTERLEAGUE PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys. Frankly I was shocked that it was even close (I expected to get blown out). The matchups have been a great boost for me defensively. I have a few guys whose offensive skills and defensive skills mismatch. Its allowed me to customize my attack on both sides of the ball. As far as enthusiasm goes, I feel like this is a big part of the game. To me its as big as game shape. Ideally I'd have a team with a 12+ enthusiasm full of proficient game shapes.

Day 7 was one of the most exciting so far. Rip City pulled off an upset against Booshers. 92-94. It was a close game from beginning to the end and Boosher's 20 TO was too much for such a game. Booshers had a way better FG % but they missed the lost shot. Hawks hand rivals Tachenko their first home loss of the season and remain undefeated. 114-102. Cleveland cruise to easy victory against Cresleys. 127-76. 8 Cleveland players reached double figures and 3 of them post double doubles. Flyers beat Magic and take a deep breath at least for a while. 103-97.
There's a tight competition on the Great 8 side. Gavno were in first place by a point differential of 1 before day 7, and 129-91 win against Investors puts them up by 26. Illusion outrebounded and outscored Bangers. 117-104. As their regulars are getting back in shape, Goats pass Knicks:75-89. Steppers grab a crucial win against Dragons:71-88. 4th quarter score explains why and how they won. 11-29.

Player of the day is (of course that's my personal pick) Clay Chow (7717286) of Gavno. He had a commanding performance, 18 pts, 18 rbs, 7 assists in 31 mins.

Finally it's time for highly anticipated interleague games. It's gonna be a lot of fun. Recent seasons belonged to Big 8, but with increasing competition and great teams, Great 8 looks sharper than ever. There are many important games on Tuesday but Booshers @ Illusion is what we call a "statement game"

Xarn,

I use the PL games to test new lineups, matchups and defensive strategies. Usually I'm playing in a league where I know everybody and so it allows us to discuss our options for that night. For example I know that Oden's Ravens likes to play a Motion 3-2, but he might test Look Inside 1-3-1 against me just to see how his personnel works in those sets.

The advantage is that it doesn't count against your training minutes and so it doesn't affect game shapes. If you want to see how a guy does out of position for 48 minutes you can test that without impacting the training regimen.

I knew I had zero chance vs Indiana Gavano. I started my backups to help balance out my minutes for the week.

That Indiana Team is Money. Granier may be the best player in the league.

That's dissapointing because youre feeding him point differncial, which can be very crucial when it gets closer to playoff time.

I'm very nervous about my game against Booshers, but also very excited. Rip City's victory was very important in my team's confidence though because now we know that not just the undefeated Hawks can take them down.

Cresleys are waving the white flag. We never had the money to compete in DIV III. We got lucky last season in winning the D IV title. Soooo, we are going to concentrate on training and development. If we win, we win. We don't, oh well.

Booshers are very strong but you have the home court and you are almost unbeatable at home, so Booshers is the team that should be nerveous.

Ray,

Don't throw in the towel yet. You only need to find a way to finish in 7th for a chance at relegation. I was in the same boat as you last season. I trained for relegation and found a way to beat a team that was better than mine. Don't give up. You may go down to a tough Div 4!
