I'd have to say,...that if you want to train a Center or a Power Forward, You would have to play them at PG or SG,.. which is hard to bring yourself to do,....

So,...the game is saying,... If you have a C or PF, you have to play them @ PG or SG, to learn Passing,... they couldn't possibly learn to pass playing their own positions....(yeah,...right)

In reality, ONE good JS player of coz can score a lot, but most of the time PG holds the ball, PG can make a magic pass to one of FOUR players in court to have easy scoring.

For example, ONE good JS player can score 30+ in a game, but he may need excellect stamina to do so. Relatively, ONE good Passing player can help other four players to score 10+ in a game easily, not much stamina needed in average, that means delicating 10+ assists & 40+ points totally.

In conclusion, i would prefer a good passing player instead of focusing JS ability during training.

P.S. above personal assumption is based on reality situation instead of BB game engine.

and if your guard want to rebound, they had to play center ;) But doesn't made this the training challenging?

6) As a U21 coach, I have noticed that players 14 JS and 8 PA all else equal get better game ratings than players with 8 JS and 14 PA. That may or may not mean much, but I think it is some justification for those managers who tend to emphasize training primaries over passing especially early on.

Good post, considering point 6, I do think that this is logical. Passing is a skill which can 'set players free', it creates better chances. But if the receiver of the pass is a bad shooter, passing is of less use, than vice versa. Simply because there are other methods of creating chances, for instance, driving is one of them.
