The career stats feature is pretty cool!

Good to see the BB is improving.

And NSW makes a move.

Seems silly to buy a player with a salary like that, if your not in contention for the title; wasting money? But in saying that this will boost his team and maybe allow him to compete with tannum and tornado...

Goodluck tonight guys!

he now has the most expensive team in our league by 34k so you would have to say this shakes things up a bit in that conference. This season is wide open with more late purchases to come i predict, none of them will come from me though as i am losing money at a rapid rate

It's Crunch Time
As the playoffs near this season heats up!

Great 8

- There was a massive game tonight played between the tornado and one of the league favourites tannum tantrums. This was another close game between the two with the tornado pushing dudehowdy's boys into overtime with a last second 3 pointer. Although unfortunately for them it was tannum who came out victorious in this one, keeping his undefeated status in tact and in a prime position for that safety net of bot cleanup promotion.

- There was also another important game played tonight within the Great 8 with Red Paint getting over NSW Wave Breakers. With Red's for and against and both teams to play the same teams in their final regular season matches; it looks like Red will hold on to third place and be up against the tornado in the first week of the playoffs. While pushing NSW back into fourth seed where they will go up against the most likely undefeated tannum tantrums in their first division III playoff match.

Big 8

While the great 8 seems to be set in stone the big 8 is completely the opposite with both HCA and playoff spots up for grabs!

- As it stands at the moment The Winnerz are sitting on the top of the table (thanks to the Jerries surprise CT victory over Fishy Kangas) with both Fishy Kangas and the Jerries one game back. But things are still in the balance and it is all going to come down to the MASSIVE last match of the regular season between The Winnerz and Fishy Kangas. If Fishy Kangas are able to hang on and retain a higher for and against than myself then this match will decide it all. Deciding who gets HCA and possibly who progresses to the finals.

If The Winnerz are able to grab this one then they hold on to the top seed and have HCA throughout the playoffs except in the final series, if tannum progress. A win by The Winnerz will also most likely push Kanga down to third spot behind Jerries! Meaning they will get no HCA at all throughout the playoffs and it will be an uphill battle for Big 8 favourite.
On the other hand, if the Kangas are able to get the win and have a better for and against then myself it will give them the top spot and the aforementioned HCA and financial benefits associated with having HCA. If this is the case this will leave The Winners in the second seed due to the Jerries for and against.
Either way, there will be a lot riding on this match...

- Not to forgot though that there is still a battle for the final playoff spot between Razzle Dazzles and The Supreme Team. With both teams facing one tough opponent and one easy, it looks like this one is going to come down to for and against. Although are both team aiming for the fourth seed? There is speculation in the BB universe that 5th seed has it's benefits over 4th seed if you are not in contention for the title. Will this have an affect on the outcome of the playoffs? We will have to wait and see...

I am looking forward to the The Winnerz and Fishy Kangas match-up on Saturday. As Razor mentioned a game with many potential ramifications for the playoff race. Especially keen to see how Razor's new recruit handles himself :)

I was a little worried seeing my game against The Tornado went to overtime - and indeed am a little concerned about the potential conference final match-up with them should we both advance. Anyway it should be a great playoffs this season - I am looking forward to it a lot.

Not a huge amount of action on the League Forum lately...aside from you Razor :)

How is everyone feeling about their season good, bad or indifferent?

Yeah a nice win by Kanga!

Also a good win for the Razzles getting over the Jerries. Helps me a little, gives Kanga a bit of a challange in the first week, being where both teams enthusiams are at. And since Jerries beat Kanga with a crunch and now razzles beating Jerries, possibly prevents Kanga from TIEing in the first week, which wouldn't be the case if it was Supreme!

So yeah either way it will be a good finals series!

this is going to be a very interesting finals series, early on it looked like it would be myself and tannum in the final but with some big purchases by razor and nsw breakers who now have player salaries of 305k and 310k respectively it has thrown the finals wide open. Not forgetting tornado who has the second best record in the league and red paint who has dominated the great 8 for the last few seasons. Jerries and razzle both have div II experience and will no doubt have something up their sleeves as well. All this being said this finals series is shaping up as one of the best for a couple of seasons as far as div III.1 concerned.
