Zuya is an outdated SF.

All the world class SF have less OD. Also I dont think you can build that one you propose even training until 29 like some NT players do thow i would love to see a player like that.

Hey guys, i saw this thread and i was hoping you guys could help me out. I think i have a pretty decent SF trainee despite his low potential and was looking for some training advice. This is him:

DMI: 13900
Age: 18
Height: 6'5" / 196 cm
Potential: allstar
Game Shape: strong
Jump Shot: inept Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: respectable ↑ Handling: mediocre
Driving: average Passing: average
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: pitiful Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: average Free Throw: average

Experience: atrocious

From what i can see is that he has a good height for a SF, good enough potential, and only has sucky rebounding which doesnt matter that much. How should i train him? Right now my plan was to get his inside D and outside D both up to proficient to start with, since i have a defensive mind but i dunno what to do after that... All opinions are welcome.

P.S. I will be training my 22 year old trainee along with him, because i want to squeeze every pop out of him before he turns 23-24. He is a very good PF in my opinion but still needs some work.

Age: 22

Potential: superstar
Game Shape: respectable

Outside Def.: inept Handling: strong
Driving: mediocre Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: prolific Inside Def.: prolific
Rebounding: strong Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: inept Free Throw: respectable

Experience: pitiful

This player is garbage. Rebounding and Jumpnshot are vital skills for a SF, your guy lacks both. I would not start to train this lad.

dont listen to the austria dude..he has no clue ;-)

all skills have their value for the engine and a skillup from 3 to 4 is as valuable as a skillup from 14 to 15..my advice for u, keep the max skill around 13/14 for him if u wanna push him over 100 Skill points total..

good luck and have fun training him :-)

i also say don't listen to the dude of australia, those mentioned skills are important but especially the SF needs all skills and there are close to none players player who start with average and respectable on all. And hey your player have weaknesses in JS and Rebounding both skills who are one of the easier to train.

Iprobadly i would start training rebounding, since this is needed for player 2, too. Maybe combined with the other defensiv stats, which makes normally the player faster ready for the league even when they are just pure defenders them. Another possibility would be train driving, since this may help through the elastic effect and is a quite valubale training on the forward spots.

PS: do you have just 2 trainees, or 3- 6? With 2 i would try to get a third and start with defense first, with more probadly rebounding and driving,

JS and RB are very expensive skills for SF in terms of potential. If you want him to be useful even at top level you should sacrifice one of them I am afraid. Perhaps you can train like this if you are going to train RB:

Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: prodigious Handling: prominent
Driving: prolific Passing: proficient
Inside Shot: sensational Inside Def.: sensational
Rebounding: prolific Shot Blocking: strong

I didn't realize pot 6 can be that good before using the potential formula. This player can start every game in my team.

the reason why those skills are expensive for that position, is because they are important for that position.
so not sure it's wise to sacrifice one of them...
