Finally a much needed home win, and more importantly a win against my rival Broometime.

Despite a strong start to the season my fans have been disgruntled and leaving nearly 6000 seats unoccupied for my games to start the season. Hopefully this win will improve their support of the team and lead to better gate receipts.

Has anyone else had trouble getting fans to games this year. My team is performing better so far, and i've made zero adjustments to my costings yet i'm seeing 3000-4000 less fans at each game. Could it be a BB system wide change?

My gate takings have been great. My arena is not as big as yours, but I'm charging a fair bit more.

I think having an under 21 player helps.

Just stick to concentrating on getting home wins and dont go getting any illussions of winning your next away game.

19,140 fans at my teams last home game which is good considering how unhappy the fans were at last season efforts, but its also a clear sign that ticket prices are way too cheap.

Its occurred to me in seasons past that attendances are generally a bit lower at the start of a season (whilst your in the cup), but tend to go up when a few other positives factors (tv games, hated rivals etc) kick in on the fan survey.

With your team you would have had a kick in the fan survey last season (attendance boost) because you had just been declared champions of your Div 3. That "boost" will have expired this season (fans not as happy at lasts seasons efforts) hence possibly causing your observed lower attendances

HA, you're so funny! Almost trying to make me look like an idiot in here and the telling your promotion intentions in other forums :p

So whats the plan? Big spending party after at the end of the season? Or maybe after the asw, if you think hca is worth it?

Come on mate, it's high time that you tell us a little bit more about it now that you've been spotted!

Are you talking to me ?

I have rated your post because of its "alarmist content"

"The injuns are coming", "The injuns are coming", "woe is me the world is about to end", HA wants to get his team back into to the ABBL

There is no denying that I would love for my team to promote to the ABBL again next season but I must reinterate that I started this season in Div 2 with a negative bank balance

After reading Chumungas post and doing a bit more research I am convinced that Glenelg Tigers are the team to beat.

Decent stadium, massive cash flow about a $120 K in the positive by my calculations, the strongest starting 5 in the league and an array of highly potentialled trainees as well.

I got lucky a couple of seasons ago when most of my competitors in II.3 got scared and let me through.

As for massive move, I went within a few hours of bankruptcy not that long ago so I'm a bit more conservative in nature now and have about 5 mill less in the bank now, than what I did back then before I made my move.

Things are a lot tougher in div 2 than two seasons ago with stronger rosters and more competitive teams. There is more than one team who have 2 or 3 players with a higher salary than my best

I'm not much of a basketballer strategist and was frowned upon by most in the ABBL last season for my lack of managerial nouse.

Are you "outing me" so as to draw attention away from your own aspirations of making the ABBL?

Any Manager who can sell a 35 year old "has been" for $400 K has to be a bigger threat than me

Look as I've said before I'm happy if you want to roll over and let me win, but I seriously think you should be more concerned about Glenelg Tigers

Haha this transfer is a joke, I bought him a couple of weeks ago for 150k and now he's gone for 400k. Anyway, GT are certainly another good team and the opposite conference is looking stronger so far.

Sorry, but that seriously made me laugh: "Let me back in div 2.III. I dont think I'm going to be able to bluff the teams in 2.II into letting me promote"

Though I'm just messing up with you. If you dont manage to bluff us into letting you promote, youll certainly bluff us into letting you finish 2nd seeded team... after GT I guess. Then that's gonna be up to you!

Is that the post you referred to in your previous post, the one where you stated that I had declared my intentions to promote on another forum?

I didnt realise that "Let me back in div 2.III. I dont think I'm going to be able to bluff the teams in 2.II into letting me promote", could possibly be construed as stating my intentions to promote.

Anyways what you have achieved is exposing my mischievious masterplan for promotion . (to bluff)

As I stated in the other forum you guys in divII.2 are going to be harder to bluff into rolling over than what the teams were in div II.3 a couple of seasons ago

Most of the II.3 teams sold up half their rosters and basically gave up after I brought a couple of half decent players

HA is no certainty to beat the well managed Melbourne Redbacks tomorrow night and will probably be rolled by a revenge seeking well managed Nevada Saucers on Tuesday night.

HA has no expectation of promotion this season as I'll either be playing players out of position for training purposes for most of the season or selling off my best players to enable a sustained rebuild.

I was critised by several of the ABBL coaches last season for promoting before the team was ready

Ahhhh I paid respect. Tremell is very respectful....

I didn't realise til a few weeks ago that DAS has such a small arena though so any success he has is well earned imo cause it mustn't be easy!
