I lucked out that the ETBU Tigers won and I got HCA. Looks like we will be playing in the finals Hoosier ;)

I'm not really ready to promote either - my trainees really need another season under their belts. My bank account is intact though...

So are you going to try and promote? My arena still needs a lot of work but my trainees are looking pretty good, especially one of them (great inside and outside skills). It would be hard in D.3, and if I promoted I know I'd have to go with one of two options.

I'm going to play to win, if that's what you're asking. Your team is completely different than last time we met, so I don't think it's a given.

Good, I guess we'll see how things turn out. Also if I had an arena as big as yours I wouldn't be too worried about my team next season. I don't know your current balance or income, but I'm sure if you wanted to you could get some pretty nice players and still be making a lot of cash as long as you win.

As long as I win, that's the truth. I'm not sure how much promotion will affect season ticket holders and my ticket prices, but it's safe to say both would need to go up. Because of the size of my stadium, small changes make a big difference. My goal is to keep my team profitable, and then strike with the bankroll when I can.

For whoever promotes your bonus will last till right before the allstar break so you can set your prices a bit higher than what the attendance calculator. So it has a huge effect.

Ultimately my goal has been to get to III in a situation where I could either catch the competition off guard to get to a position in the top two or three in my first season there. I'm not sure how stiff the opponents will be there these days, but my guess is that it varies quite a bit. I'm sure I have enough saved up to make some noise in any III div right now, but I'd be in a world of hurt if I didn't have a couple homegrown starters if I promoted out of there. If I am able to raise prices to get an extra 50k income, I could grab a 110k salary franchise player to start building around and still be breaking even week to week.

Yeah, tbh in all countries with at least 3 or 4 divisions, the level of competition in each division really differs based on league. So your plan could be very successfull if you draw one of the weaker leagues or blow up in your face if you run into a strong league. Im sure you already knew this though :)

Anyways the savvy vet vs the enthusiastic stud

Who will prove victorious?

Nice defensive matchup but in the end your defense is just stronger than mine. Looks like you'll be heading back to D.3 soon. Nice game.
