Immortals are gone so who looks strong this season?


I think the front-runners have already made themselves known.

Should be a tight season at the top with a number of contenders, instead of a clear favourite imo (for the first time in a while).

I have to say I am still undecided if I aim for 1st or 7th at this stage. I assume 7th will be a popular choice.


I sold one of my bigs (I try to have no-one 30 or over on my team), so instead of trying to compete, I'll be happy if my squad can just stay up.

But if I get demoted, that could be short term loss for long term gain.

The money brought in by selling my big put my team back into a position of significant positive cashflow, which will hopefully lead to some success next season (after a roster overhaul).

It has been a rough season so far, lost my best player in the second game of the season for two weeks and he has just returned for game eight but in inept game shape. Now I have lost my second and third best players also for two weeks each. I was hoping to not have to touch the next egg but it looks like I must.

Pretty sure it was a typo - think he means "nest egg".

Looks pretty competitive in here, how's the season shaping up for the top teams? Who's likely to be joining me next season? :)

Cool, good luck to you. I see pretty much all your rivals from blue have dropped off, shouldn't be too difficult to push for the conference win then hey? As for red, wow still looks as tough as ever. Tough breaks for Chelsea seagulls, but there's several teams chasing over there.

As for me, ABBL is going amazingly. Kept the same core of players but used the promotion money to bring in two new starters (140k big and 115k guard) and I'm currently 7-1, with the only loss coming away from home, used less enthusiasm, and he still needed OT to get there. At the start of the season I just wanted to stay up, but as I go along I might be reassessing my goals, a lot will depend on the Cup draw I get and how I can go in that.

That's great! Consecutive league wins is a real possibility for you right now. My cup draw has been terrible, and I've drawn Lewisham Wombats this round. But I just acquired a gun big man (140k) and I'll give him a run for his money

He will need huge improve to be able to knock Rimmers off. Teams is great.
Wish there were as many tankers and semi tanking in ABBL the previous season.
