Ok maybe i limited one a bit, he is that good then paul but both have their own strength. In new york a defensiv asset with good passing like Rondo, could be the better fit besides two natural scorers like Melo and Amare. But i think he would fail in a team where he had to lead the offense, as a main option.

Chris Paul is a sensational PG. I'm sure about that. He's better than Rondo.

Isn't a good idea trade them, that's what I think.

Except he's not a better fit for Boston than Rondo. So much of Boston's identity is keyed up in their D - and Chris Paul's D is "meh".
I think Boston would be stupid to cash in on Rondo, even for Paul. Ainge has come out and said as much too.

Everybody seemed to slam LeBron for a player not being loyal to his team, but it the Celtics traded Rondo in this manner, wouldn't it kind of be the reverse (considering the contributions Rondo has made to Boston)? I guess its a business though....

Fair call... but I think at least part of it was the carry-on-luggage LeBron brought along. All the years of saying "I'll never leave" kinda felt heavy when he left the way he did. And whilst Rondo's been part of an amazing revival at Boston, it's a bit short of the importance LeBron had for Cleveland.

Anyway, moot point I guess, as I very much doubt Rondo goes anywhere.

why is a player who is send a away not loyal? Afaik only 2 player in the league can deny a trade, and thats Nowitzky and Kobe, who put this clause into their contract(which is only possible if you play for a long time for a team).

LeBron chooses to go away, and makes a spectacel out of it where he not even informed his old team from his decision ... You might say that Paul is not loyal, but he is at least honest and don't see himself as the King.


Edit: sorry missed the reserved part, i also think that players had to few rights. So you could say this to every trade, besides the two above. But i think that not so disadvantaged for one side and self focused like the decision.
