I would go with either Run n' Gun or Motion since they are both outside based?

Motion is a slower pace offense. While it does not increase your defensive stats, it results in fewer shots by you and your opponent. This means a lower score. On the other hand, it means your team uses more passes and last second shots, decreasing your shot percentage.
In whole, I think Motion cancels out its own benefits.

Motion gives you less number of possessions due the lower pace, but it gives you more efficiency and effectiveness, because you get to have better possessions. It also has to do with the rebound factor. If you have less rebound skills than your opponent, you should go with Motion, because less number of possessions mean less number of shots, and, less the number of shots, less the number of rebound, and you are lowering that advantage of your opponent.

Also, Motion give the oportunity to your inside player to get more shots, and the outside players will not try so many threes, and they would try with a Run and Gun offense ;)

Unless your players are very good at creating shots, relative to their abilities to make shots, I agree with the point that Motion wil result in a lot of last second attempts, and decrease your overall shooting percentage. The reason for this is that with a faster paced offense, such as run and gun, your players will tend to shoot as soon as they get a decent look. In a slower paced offense, such as Motion, your players will tend to pass the ball around until they get a great look; if your team is bad at creating great looks, the shot clock will run down more frequently, and slow pace will result in many extra last second heaves (compared to a fast paced offense).

As most teams have better scoring skills than shot creating skills, I think that most teams are better off playing fast paced tactics.

It is sometimes argued that if your opponent has a better team, playing slow paced tactics can help keep the game closer (due to fewer possessions), and give the weaker team a better chance of winning due to luck. This is also something to consider when picking your tactics.

Thanks for the responses guys,but the original question was princeton or motion??I didn't ask for run 'n gun although I understand what you mean regarding the pace...Anyways,I tried princeton and lost in OT...I think my team is overall better,I just can't find a way to win this guy...

your teams are very similar and in my opinion if you used motion there would not be much diference

I'm using princeton a lot lately even without great shooters and if you look at my most recent games you will see that it's working,maybe I'm wrong here but one time i heard that princeton is a very low pace offence even more than motion so you can use this logic

maybe princeton requires a more overall passing team but if you have this,theres not much diference as i said,but i want to say before I go that i'm not that experienced with motion (as I believe much of the people aren't with princeton)

I think that Princeton is 3 points shots, and he scored more than you; and inside shots, and your PF and C didn´t scored so much because he defended 2-3. I should play Motion better than Princeton.

Does anybody read the Rules section ??

Motion is a normal pace. I thought it's low pace , but still that's fewer shots than an increased pace like Run and Gun.
Before messaging me, let's read this rules section.
# Look Inside: inside focus, slightly increased pace.
# Low Post: inside focus, somewhat decreased pace.
# Motion: outside/mid range jump shot focus, normal pace.
# Run and Gun: outside focus, increased pace.

This is why Low Post, Patient, and Princeton get a lower shot per centage for the same team. Your players pass and wait for the perfect opportunity, and shoot off balance.
You can use the high pace like push the ball but your defense will suffer too. See how pace affects defense?

Is that your opinion or do you have proof to back it up? I ask because I remember being corrected on an older thread by BrianJames with him saying the opposite.
