Think that is where he was going Leeroy.. :)

Stazza, good question and to be honest I am not entirely sure but I have a theory, grade rating is players skill assessment in comparison to the rest of the draft. Further on that theory I don't think the grade rating gives you anything vital, I think it is scouting performance based only..

Anyone else have different beliefs?

Playoff Preview

Gisborne Gladiators vs. Wagadugu Hippopotamuses

The Hippos are strong favourites in this one, some speculated that this could be the closest of the 1st round matchups. However, with the Gladiators being decimated by injuries to Addison and Phillips, and the Hippo's lineup in proficient to strong gameshape, this could be a blowout at the Hippodrome.

Players to watch:

Ndongo Diakite - In proficient gameshape and with the absence of Phillips should have it all his own way in this game.

Igor Zakharov - If the Gladiators are to have any chance Igor is going to have take control of a majority of the ball.

Skyhook Dreamers vs. Beasts Red

Its been a tumultuous season for the Dreamers who have brought players in and let them go having little impact on the final product, the team that will take on the Beasts in the 1st round. The Dreamers are in good gameshape which should at least keep this one from being a massive blowout. The Beasts on the other hand have one of the strongest sides in the division, and surprisingly didn't bring in any last minute additions to the team that Beasts manager Neeber thinks can go all the way. A couple of GS issues to some starters may just be a tiny hiccup in the road for the Beasts juggernaut.

Players to watch:

Jacek Sudzinski - In proficient GS this bloke can score and will be going toe-to-toe with the much improved Chan, i think.

David Chan - The scoring leader and easily the most important player for the Dreamers is gonna need to drop heaps for his team to be any chance. Proficient GS helps.

Morning Glory vs. ACT Blaze

The Glory no doubt have a side that could make some ripples if they had not been matched up with the 22-0 Blaze in the 1st round. Although some tough questions will need to be asked in the Glory head office, with there being very little prospect of future improvement with the current team's youngest player at 28. Good GS should see the Glory run with the Blaze for a little while, but it is unlikely they will maintain the pace. Blaze on the other hand will be in the comfort of their Belco Centre, and despite a couple of GS issues like the Beasts, should have no trouble in moving into the Conference Final.

Players to watch:

Irwin Corcoran - In strong GS he seems a class above all the Glory guards and should dominate this one.

Enrique Villaseca - despite only being 20k salary, this might be one of the areas the Glory will be able to get a win.

Sammydog vs. Be High

This has got to be the closest of the matchups, with Sammydog having an all-aussie lineup they have some big-tine players but do lack a couple of pieces to the puzzle. They will look for Kuancai to deliver the ball well to have a chance. They have serious GS issues which might be disastrous in their road to the conference finals. Be High are similiar to their opponents that they have some good players but still lack a little firepower, no doubt they have a bit more balance than their opponents and with a little better GS and the game in Losing Money, with HCA they should hold on for a win.

Players to watch:

Woodrow Tabor - Tabor looks to be the linchpin that keeps this team together, and should have a big role to play again in this game. But at 30, there doesnt seem to be a successor coming through.

Janusz Galik - the expenisve big man is the only weapon that looks to scare their opponents. He should have good service from Kuancai so need to make it count. Only respectable GS might hurt his performance

thought Suabia might make it into the Rangas H.O.F for his services to the club in the past 2 seasons. he was really the foundation of your team for those few seasons

Good Afternoon and welcome to this year's Div 3.12 Playoff Series.

Im Huge-Ass your official BBB (Buzzer Beater Betting) Official.

Tonight's games are sure to be crackers, and i can now officially say that the BB TAB have just relased lines for tonights games.

GREAT 8:

GAME 1: Sammy Dog VS Be High
Line:
Be High -13.5
Sammy Dog +13.5

Head to Head:
Be High $1.35
Sammy Dog $3.90

Over/Under:
Over 192.5
Under 192.5

Final words:
Home court, polished team name, be high looks set to win this one. i cant see sammy dog getting close unfortunately.
It will be however be a Dog of a day for sammy!

GAME 2: Morning Glory VS ACT Blaze
Line:
Morning Glory +26.5
ACT Blaze -26.5

Head to Head:
Morning Glory $7.10
ACT Blaze $1.05

Over/Under:
Over 184.5
Under 184.5

Final words:
Newly promoted Morning Glory have done well to reach their first Div 3 final, but are coming up against a powerhouse in the Blaze. The last time these 2 teams met, Blaze destroyed the glory, but lets not forget their 1st meeting where the glory pushed them to the end to eventually go down by 4 points at home.
Alot of luck is needed for the glory in tonights game. The key will be defense, something the blaze have shown all year. This game is expected to be over by half time, and i reckon if the glory can get within 20 points at the end of the game they have done well. Blaze in my opinion will take out the championship, and well, thoroughly deserve all the success they get.

BIG 8

GAME 1: Gisborne Gladiators VS Wagadugu Hippopotamuses
Line:
Gisborne Gladiators +8.5
Wagadugu Hippopotamuses -8.5

Head to Head:
Gisborne Gladiators $2.70
Wagadugu Hippopotamuses $1.55

Over/Under:
Over 172.5
Under 172.5

Final words:
The loss of 2 key players to the gladiators will no doubt put them on the back foot, but should have enough cover to make this a tightly heated contest tonight.
The hippos, whilst being consistent all year, are yet to hit their peak in my opinion, and would like to get this one just over and done with. This game as many are predicting is likely to go right down to the last few minutes. If both teams can stay out of foul trouble early, then we will no doubt have a great contest on our hands. Sznajder needs to be a leader tonight, and prove why he come to australia via a shipping boat to play ball. Not alot of scoring is expected tonight as both teams look to lock down on the D.
I just feel that the hippos have more depth going into this contest and should just squeek by.

GAME 2: Skyhook Dreamers VS Beasts Red
Line:
Skyhook Dreamers +17.5
Beasts Red -17.5

Head to Head:
Skyhook Dreamers $5.20
Beasts Red $1.27

Over/Under:
Over 191.5
Under 191.5

Final words:
In a tough division, the dreamers have done particularly well to snare 4th spot on the Big 8 side. Powered by young gun David Chan, the dreamers will show a fight, but the load will just be too much for Chan. Although being trained well by Mr.Miyagi, for these type of encounters, there is not enough talent to match that of Beasts Red. I mean, i could be wrong, what do I know? i only for work for a BBB TAB. The beasts are a well rounded team, not even having 1 player in the top 10 for league scoring leaders, and that in my opinion works in there favour as they are a balanced team not relying on just the 1 person. End of the day, beasts will look to close this one out nice and early, and being at home, will just be too strong for the dreamers. Yes, you can keep dreaming.

i think the smart bet for Sammy vs Be High is over 192.5

i would take a piece of the line for the Glory

and be all over the hippos at -8.5

and probably be on the line for the beasts

great work mate. was a very good read. i fear you wont be getting much on the gladiators line
