Hey guys just wondering if anyone can help me understand something.... I went and did a bit of reading re the draft on the help guide but it doesn't really explain what the "grade rating" relates to??? I understand the star ratings relate to salary and the potential ball rating is self explanatory but wtf does the grade rating mean?? Any help clearing this up would be great! Cheers guys :)

Instead I have to take on the 3rd or 4th best team in the division
Whoa now, I like Bainsy as much as the next bloke but I don't think I'd go as far as saying he's 3rd or 4th best in the division... League maybe

Think that is where he was going Leeroy.. :)
Stazza, good question and to be honest I am not entirely sure but I have a theory, grade rating is players skill assessment in comparison to the rest of the draft. Further on that theory I don't think the grade rating gives you anything vital, I think it is scouting performance based only..
Anyone else have different beliefs?

Playoff Preview
Gisborne Gladiators vs. Wagadugu Hippopotamuses
The Hippos are strong favourites in this one, some speculated that this could be the closest of the 1st round matchups. However, with the Gladiators being decimated by injuries to Addison and Phillips, and the Hippo's lineup in proficient to strong gameshape, this could be a blowout at the Hippodrome.
Players to watch:
Ndongo Diakite - In proficient gameshape and with the absence of Phillips should have it all his own way in this game.
Igor Zakharov - If the Gladiators are to have any chance Igor is going to have take control of a majority of the ball.
Skyhook Dreamers vs. Beasts Red
Its been a tumultuous season for the Dreamers who have brought players in and let them go having little impact on the final product, the team that will take on the Beasts in the 1st round. The Dreamers are in good gameshape which should at least keep this one from being a massive blowout. The Beasts on the other hand have one of the strongest sides in the division, and surprisingly didn't bring in any last minute additions to the team that Beasts manager Neeber thinks can go all the way. A couple of GS issues to some starters may just be a tiny hiccup in the road for the Beasts juggernaut.
Players to watch:
Jacek Sudzinski - In proficient GS this bloke can score and will be going toe-to-toe with the much improved Chan, i think.
David Chan - The scoring leader and easily the most important player for the Dreamers is gonna need to drop heaps for his team to be any chance. Proficient GS helps.
Morning Glory vs. ACT Blaze
The Glory no doubt have a side that could make some ripples if they had not been matched up with the 22-0 Blaze in the 1st round. Although some tough questions will need to be asked in the Glory head office, with there being very little prospect of future improvement with the current team's youngest player at 28. Good GS should see the Glory run with the Blaze for a little while, but it is unlikely they will maintain the pace. Blaze on the other hand will be in the comfort of their Belco Centre, and despite a couple of GS issues like the Beasts, should have no trouble in moving into the Conference Final.
Players to watch:
Irwin Corcoran - In strong GS he seems a class above all the Glory guards and should dominate this one.
Enrique Villaseca - despite only being 20k salary, this might be one of the areas the Glory will be able to get a win.
Sammydog vs. Be High
This has got to be the closest of the matchups, with Sammydog having an all-aussie lineup they have some big-tine players but do lack a couple of pieces to the puzzle. They will look for Kuancai to deliver the ball well to have a chance. They have serious GS issues which might be disastrous in their road to the conference finals. Be High are similiar to their opponents that they have some good players but still lack a little firepower, no doubt they have a bit more balance than their opponents and with a little better GS and the game in Losing Money, with HCA they should hold on for a win.
Players to watch:
Woodrow Tabor - Tabor looks to be the linchpin that keeps this team together, and should have a big role to play again in this game. But at 30, there doesnt seem to be a successor coming through.
Janusz Galik - the expenisve big man is the only weapon that looks to scare their opponents. He should have good service from Kuancai so need to make it count. Only respectable GS might hurt his performance
