I've stated before that I'm not a fan of his posts but that said I rate his smarts.

Has a decent stadium, a good balanced deep roster, cash flow and seems to have an understanding of the game.

Same reasons I rate Redbacks.

Glenelg Tigers have massive massive cash flow probably around the 120k per week depending on what they are spending on staff

DAS and SB Voultures are currently both losing money by my calculations

Yeah just looking at the arenas it is amazing how well SBV did making ABBL with only a 9000 seat arena. Really the only good sized arenas in the league seem to be yourself, Redbacks (agreed they are going to be ubber dangerous in a couple of seasons), myself and broometime. DAS and nevada and glenelg still arent huge arenas, they are around the level i was at before i started tanking.

Whats you goal for arena size Sid? I thinking 22k.

First stop will be 20,002

The stadium will have a breather at 19,771 seats in about 2 weeks time, to assess what its final configeration will be

Will be One of the following

17171 17071 17071
2222 2332 2442
565 555 656
44 44 33

20,002 20,002 20,202

Hurt me in the ABBL only having the 14 or so thousand seats

If I ever make it back to the ABBL I will then reassess the size and might consider going to the 22 K mark

Any theory behind 20002?? Or you just like the symmetry?

Yep I like the symmetry.

I'm a bit wierd like that

Likely scenarios for stadium are

19,991, 20,002 21,112 or 22,222

Intend to finish build for this season on 20,002 and may leave it there

Thanks for the compliments guys, though Chumunga is closer in his analysis of my team.
After only promoting last year and working to get a solid base behind me, this year is going to be focused on continuing to train guys like trakys and stevens (weightman is nearly capped), while remaining in contention for the playoffs. You can see my strategy coming through with the losses to EGG and most recently PNR. Both times i played TIE and both times I played one of my trainees the whole 48 mins.

I'm hoping that Trakys and Stevens become two cornerstones of my team moving forward, and that the rookie Agustino can be that third key player in a cpl seasons. So I would say in 2-3 seasons i'll be in a position to hopefully promote. Hell it took me about 7 seasons to get out of III.6 once i finally put some time into this game.

That said, i'll always make moves it's going to put my team in a stronger position.

As for the favourites this season, as i said earlier in the season i think SBV would have to go in as favourite after getting pipped at the post last season.

Thanks for the thought

Main two reasons why I havent joined a private league are;

Being a Married man means I have no money

I'm "hopelessly addicted" to the game and spend too much time as it is without being in a private league as well

Plus those ABBL guys were a bit rough on me last year

Lol fair enough. If you ever want in you know where to come....

Also if you ever want to come check out the chat and banter we hang out in the IV.7 Australian league forums. Add it to your favourites in the forums. That goes for all of you too....The current main chat is in the "Private League 8 Thread" and this IV.7 forum is more of a forum then the australian forum cause its where all the cool kids hang :-p. Check it out. If anyone wants to join the PL in the future id highly recommend and post your interest in the threads and also feel free to join the discussions.

Finally a much needed home win, and more importantly a win against my rival Broometime.

Despite a strong start to the season my fans have been disgruntled and leaving nearly 6000 seats unoccupied for my games to start the season. Hopefully this win will improve their support of the team and lead to better gate receipts.

Has anyone else had trouble getting fans to games this year. My team is performing better so far, and i've made zero adjustments to my costings yet i'm seeing 3000-4000 less fans at each game. Could it be a BB system wide change?

My gate takings have been great. My arena is not as big as yours, but I'm charging a fair bit more.

I think having an under 21 player helps.
